Later Ovulation

I typically ovulate later in my cycle between CD18-21 and I was just wondering if this could cause any potential issues? I see lots of women here ovulate around the usual CD14. Does anyone know what the cause of later ovulation is? I know it's not super late but still starting to wonder if i should be concerned x

I think it depends if you have a shorter luteal phase, it doesn’t really matter what day you ovulate unless it means your luteal phase is shorter as a short LP can mean a fertilised egg doesn’t have time to implant but if you have 12-16 days from ovulation to your period I don’t think it’s an issue

@sh84 thanks for replying! sadly do have a short LP of about 10 days, can't seem to find anything to lengthen it either

That could be it then, I have seen a thread on here about short LP, there may be better advice on there. Have you spoke to a GP about it, I know they’re not that great with stuff like this but sometimes you find the odd good one. I see people say a lot about agnus castus think that’s what it’s called, but I really can’t advise any further. I’m sure I read somewhere that it’s the follicular phase that can differ month to month but LP is usually the same length. Hope you get some better answers soon xx
