IVF before TTC 2 years?

Has anyone been offered IVF before the 2 years on NHS?

I've been TTC 6th cycle now and already had some investigations for a number of reasons

  1. DH has previously tried for children with an ex-partner and had a negative home test with unsuccessful pregnancy. His GP sent him for SA- came back abnormal
  2. I've previously had raised Testosterone levels and have some PCOS symptoms so enquired at my GP because I've never had a peak opk yet since TTC. Bloods came back normal but ultrasound showed adhesions on my left ovary.

Cycles are regular every 26-29 days and aren't heavy or painful.

Waiting for referral to fertility clinic but not feeling hopeful as we havent been TTC long but we still need our issues addressed surely?

Unfortunately given the slashing of IVF budgets they'll make you wait the 2 years

Sorry to hear this OP. I'm having egg collection on monday with our 1st IVF cycle (TTC 9yrs and 2 losses). Have you checked whether IVF is even provided in your area on NHS? I know some areas (mid/north Essex) don't at all, for any age. My area cover 3 rounds if under 40, and 1 from 41-42. They also have differing criterias for BMI, smoking etc, so do check what the requirements are now, so you can work on anything you'll need to change.
I'm not sure about the 2yr requirement. As you seem to both have issues, there might be exemptions on that timeline? My original GP wouldn't do any testing, as I was 1 week outside the 12mth requirement of TTC. When they finally did do a blood test, I was told my hormones were normal, to go home and not stress! I certainly wasn't stressed then though! Best of luck, and hopefully someone with more advice on the 2yr requirement can help.

I was offered ivf at 18months ttc due to endo but I wanted to leave it a bit to give endo surgery a chance to work. It will depend on your ccg.
