Confused by CB digital ovulation test

I started having ewcm Monday and had what I'm sure was ovulation pains Monday night. According to my apps I'm due to ovulate today/tomorrow. Took ov test this morning and it's still showing that I'm in my fertile window but not at my peak yet which means I'm not due to ov for at least another 2 days! I'm so surprised as I would of thought with my cm and pains it would of happened by now. Anyone else been confused by ov tests not matching up? Maybe I'm just really out of touch with my body 🤷🏻‍♀️

Its very easy to miss your LH surge. I'd suggest you test a minimum of 3 times a day, at say 9am, 3pm, 9pm. Not everyone gets the surge in the morning (if I'd only tested in the mornings I'd have missed the surge on a lot of cycles).

I was having fertility treatment that was timed with ovulation and I ended up doing an internet cheapie OPK every 4 hours to make sure I caught it.

@INeedNewShoes thanks for this. I was thinking about doing it more than once but I've only got 2 tests left as 2 of them didn't work so I wasted them. I'll do one tonight then and see what it shows 🤞🏻

@INeedNewShoes I think I'm going to go into town and buy some cheap ones as I don't want to miss it. Thanks

If you might be doing this for a few cycles it'll be worth bulk buying 50 tests. I used about 20 tests per cycle I think. I tested from around CD11 to day 15 when I generally got the surge.

Did you start testing too late? There's a chart in the instruction leaflet that tells you which day to start according to your cycle length. Don't forget the first days reading is always the blank circle no matter what. It might be that you ovulate earlier than you think. When I used it I discovered I ovulate on CD12 not CD14.

I have been testing for days and days. Yesterday afternoon I got a negative on the clear blue, but I could see the line was darkening on the cheap tests. Last night I got a positive on a cheap test, so used the clear blue this morning and got a static smile, so in 12 hours I've jumped from low fertility to peak, and missed out 'high' all together!

@Pilot12 I started testing cd8 which is when it told me too. I'm just surprised to be ovulating so long after having the most ewcm and ov pains on Monday but this is all new to me still

Pcos often shows up like this on ovulation kits. Has it def been ruled out?

Pilot12 · 12/03/2020 14:58

Leaferty - that happened to me the second month I used it, I went from low fertility straight to high and conceived that cycle.
