EWCM Neg OPK CD5?!

Hi all

Yesterday was cd5 and was down to minimal spotting AF. I went to the loo in the afternoon and there was masses of EWCM, proper clear snot with a streak of blood, which I assume was the last of AF. It was very stretchy and definitely EWCM.

I did an opk which was super negative, barely a line.

Thing is I rarely get a hint of EWCM so why am I getting it on CD5? I didn’t even DTD as wasn’t really in the mood with it being last day of AF. I normally ovulate on CD11/12 according to OPKs.

Todays CM has been very watery like I’ve wet myself.

What’s going on?!

I get this every month! Random bout of ewcm around CD5 at end of AF, and then CD9/10 but don’t ovulate until CD12ish. I got pregnant with my DS with no issues so assume it’s not a problem. I agree it seems unusual though. Maybe our fertile weeks start a bit earlier given we ovulate quite early in the cycle.

I know I should BD, but I’m sooooo tired at the moment.

I just found it weird how I don’t have any at ovulation time yet there was masses of the stuff. Maybe a good sign. Onto 11th cycle so maybe/hopefully this will be the cycle that it actually happens!

What you are describing sounds more like the last remnants of your period - uterine lining actually looks a lot like EWCM - I always get a lot around the end of my period
