Opk confusion... Help me understand 👍

Afternoon everyone!
When using an opk, does the line stop showing immediately after ovulation? Or does it gradually fade out? I appreciate this picture would be a negative.
I did one this morning on cd19... But my last 3/4 periods have been a bit late each time (always bfp then af)

Opk confusion... Help me understand 👍

The lines fade and grow darker throughout a cycle. You could get darker and lighter lines at anytime as there is always small amounts of the hormone in your system. Obviously, as you know, the very dark lines are just prior to O and they fade once O begins. They only need to fade a little to be 'negative'. Personally, I test every day of the month so I see lighter and darker lines frequently, but without any consequences as such. I hope that helps x
