False positives?!

Hi all, I'm new on here and am looking for some friendly advice!
I've taken three pregnancy tests the past two days, two freedom strips and a Tesco pregnancy test. All have come back with faint lines. The one I took this morning is definitely darker than yesterday.
However, I've been reading into these brands and have seen many people complain about getting numerous false positives and now I'm worried that's what mine are too!
Is there a chance I could have three false positives?
The lines are as thick as the control lines, I unfortunately can't upload a photo yet as it has to be 24hrs after sign up!
Thanks in advance guys!

Hey @Clo1997cc, I have just gone through this exact thing! I took a CBD early detection after a 10-12 hour sleep, using my FMU (which would have been crazy concentrated) and got a BFP. Literally all other tests were BFN or very faint, so faint that I had to hold up to the light and squint to see even the faintest of lines. That was at 11 DPO. I carried on testing 12 DPO, 13 DPO, etc. and got the same thing. Today is AF due +1 and I tested with a FRER and a CBD, got 2 BFP!

If you can see the lines clearly, then it's positive. I read all sorts of scary things about false positives (which are apparently very rare) and CPs. I came to accept that a line (no matter how faint) is positive. I would say the chances of 3 false positives is near to impossible. A friend of mine used the cheapy Tesco brand and swore by it.

It's so difficult to relax into the news without a big bold positive. But I think congrats are in order here Smile

@jazzibelle I'm so glad someone else has experienced this! SmileI thought this morning surely three false positives is very rare but the reviews really started to worry me!
I'm 12dpo so I'm going to wait till 14dpo until I test again with a digital just to be sure, I wish I could upload the photos because there's definitely a big chunky second line there as thick as the control one!
Hopefully it's a BFP!

@Clo1997cc is it anything like this? Or darker?

False positives?!
Clo1997cc · 10/03/2020 11:40

@jazzibelle I'd say it's a little bit darker and thicker than this I know all test lines can be different sizes but the ones on the two types I used are thicker
It does say on the instructions the test line should be the same size as the control one
I'll post the pictures tomorrow when I can!
I've googled so many positive lines my brains gone fuzzy!

@Clo1997cc grab a pack of the digi tests today and test again in the morning, day after etc. All these tests are so different, some more sensitive than others. There's definitely something reassuring seeing the word "Pregnant" rather than deciphering the various blue or pinks lines.

But a + is a + :-) And after 3, that's pretty certain

Clo1997cc · 11/03/2020 08:35

@jazzibelle did a clear blue digital test this morning, 1-2 weeks pregnant! Surely that means it true nowGrin

Sounds pretty good to me! Congrats

@Clo1997cc OMG, congrats! Yes, I think you can relax into the news a bit now and start calling yourself pregnant ❤️ so so happy for you
