Is it possible to get pg soon after mirina removal?

Hello

I was just wondering if it was likely that I might get pregnant soon after a coil removal.

I do it realise it is a 'how long is a piece of string' queation lol! But I was wondering how long it took people who have had the mirina, and also if it takes a while to ovulate or if it happens straight away.

Any experiences would be gratefully recieved

Well IME I got pg twice within a month of having the mirena removed. Third time it took a lot longer but I was still b/fing no. 3 and didn't have a period until after he was a year old. Generally speaking I get pg pretty easily though so that probably has an impact!

Hi Lucky,

Just thought I'd say that a close friend of mine had the coil out 6 weeks ago and is now pregnant Good Luck

So it is possible it could happen quite soon then lol!

I do know that it can take a while to get back to normal so I won't be getting toooo excited but it's lovely to know theres a chance.....

I read that soemtimes you can have a double follicle the first ovulation after having a MIrena removed so the chance of twins is somewhat higher. I had my Mirena out in April this year. Had my first breakthrough bleed 1st June and got pregnant 2 weeks later!! Good luck!
