TTC Newbie! LH level help?

Hi everyone. Me and my partner have decided it’s time to “actively” try for our second baby.

In 2018 I donated eggs. After going through tests etc, the consultant said my FSH and LH levels were considerably low for someone of my age and that I may struggle to conceive again. However, I was able to donate 9 eggs to 2 separate ladies ❤️

So fast forward to now, I’m worrying not that we are trying that it may be an upsetting road ahead. I am due to go back to the fertility clinic where I donated to have some scans/tests to look at it again. But it’s only in April 😢

I’ve started with ovulation tests. But I’m not sure what my LH levels should be looking like? I know they peak etc. But has anyone any advice on what they ideally should be before and during the peak?

I’ve look everywhere on the internet but getting a range of numbers.

Thanks 😘

I'm not sure if this helps but this was the peak when I conceived back in November.

What a lovely thing you do to donate eggs though Thanks

Thank you Babyshine2020

Mine are nowhere near those levels at the moment.. and I’m “due” to ovulate in 3 days 🤦🏽‍♀️ Can’t see them peaking that high in the mean time. I think I’m just going to have to wait and see the consultant in April for more details.

Congratulations to you! 👶🏼 When are you due?

Your last two tests both look like positives/peaks?

Babyshine2020 · 09/03/2020 19:17

Personally I'd say your CD11 could've been your peak. That looks pretty high. I used the Femometer app and did BBT too (it graphed for me, I didn't have a clue).

My control like was never as dark as my line but after 3 months of TTC with ovulation testing we fe pregnant. I have PCOS and hadn't had a period in the first 8 months of us trying, so I went to the GP who referred us to a specialist who put me on metformin and within 3 weeks of that I had my first period in forever, and then had 2 more before getting a positive.

I'm due 08/08 and I was due to start Clomid January just gone but my trust like to try metformin first (usually used in diabetes but it can regulate hormones too)

Do you think so Willithappen? The lady in the first reply had a much bigger level so thought mine looked too low?

Babyshine2020 Aww I’m very happy it worked out for you ❤️ Is it your first?
I wouldn’t mind a long wait if I knew there was no issues and it wouldn’t eventually happen. I think I’ll just try and not think about it too much until I’ve had these next tests to see what my chances are going to be.

Good luck! ☺️☺️ It will fly by!

@Bbbc89 I think the lady who posted before you just uses a different app and it records the levels different.

Is it Pre Mom you are using? I use that also :) it's good and tells you when it's a high level. So long as the test line is darker than the control line that's a positive test. Depending on what time you catch it can show your highest peak but you might not always catch it super dark. You also need to be not drinking much, holding your pee for a good few hours etc before testing to get a nice strong one. I'd say your tests are positive ones though

Bbbc89 · 09/03/2020 21:27

@willithappen ahhh that’s good to know! Thank you 😊 I’m all new to this stuff.
I did do another about a hour ago.. it dropped to 0.29. I take it this could be down to my wee being diluted perhaps then?
Do you mind me asking what kind of levels you get? Have you been TTC for long?

@willithappen that's what I was trying to at when I said what app I was using, the lines on the @Bbbc89 tests look like they've peaked.

@Bbbc89 yes this is our first, the time is flying. Baby's furniture is arriving tomorrow so it'll be nice to have somewhere ready. Some may say it's a little early but we got a deal and every penny counts now we have something to save it for. Your time will come, and if you're getting peaks it shows your body is ovulating! Once you've done w cycle of two you'll figure it out. I was using the internet cheapies pretty much every morning and then when I saw it darkening I'd test once in the morning and once when I was home from work. Good luck xx

willithappen · 09/03/2020 22:22

1.85 is the highest I have caught my peak at and that was a super dark line

Also, getting a positive opk doesn't actually confirm you have ovulated. It shows you have created the LH surge but isn't a guarantee that you do ovulate. Are you charting as well by any chance?
Not to scare you btw, just saw the other post say positive opk means you ovulated and wanted to make sure you were aware
