False Positive on a CB Digital?

I'm TTC for my first. AF is due in 2 days and I test yesterday which would have ben 11 DPO. I used my FMU after a whopping 10-hour sleep and it came back with a BFP!

My DH had testicular cancer and is worried our chances to conceive naturally won't happen, so I want to be 100% sure before I tell him.

I tested again a couple of hours later and it was a BFN. Deciding to hold off until this morning to test again with a CB digital and a FRER using my FMU, but both came back as a BFN. I also through a regular CB test in the mix and have a very faint line.

I know I have to wait another day or two to test again (today I'll be 12 DPO). I'm pretty certain I ovulated on the 25/26th Feb after tracking my LH surge.

Has anyone else experienced this? What was your outcome?

Also, is it even possible to get a false positive on the CB Digital tests? I'm not on any meds.

Should add, I am having symptoms such as dullness in my belly, lower back ache, sensitive nipples, tiredness, and I quite honestly just feel a bit "ragged". I had some mild cramping a couple of days ago, and for about a week I've had terrible wind. All of this I just put down to upcoming AF/eating too much.

I don’t know about false positives but you’re better to use second morning urine (SMU) instead of FMU most of the time. A false negative is much more likely than a false positive, give it a couple of days and test again. Good luck x

I unfortunately got 2 false positives on CB digitals. I dont know if it was a bad batch of tests (2 from same pack) or a CP. It's made me never to want to test before AF is due now x

I had a very similar to you, mine was a chemical pregnancy. I did test with all different tests and some in the same urine sample and had both positive and negative results.
I do wish you luck and hope that you do get your bfp.

I carried on testing with FRER and CBED, all were inconclusive with very faint lines (the kind where it could easily be an indent). Tested again this morning using my 3rd wee of the day and got 2 BFP (one FRER and one CBD). I'll take it!

@BigusBumus I did, I'm glad I waited too because he's still crying now .He said he would have wanted to know when I knew, and said that we're in this together -- good and bad. But, I don't think I could have watched his heart break like that, after everything he's been through, if it was a CP. Right now, HCG looks like it's rising so I'll relax into it and keep everything crossed for a healthy nine months :-)

This gives me hope! Similar situation here, I tested BFP on two FRER, and now I am getting BFN (11 DPO) on FRER. Hoping was not a CP. AF in two days, I am going to wait to test until then. Congrats!!
