Can anyone give me any tips on trying to concieve around ovulation!!!
We are using OPK and we are still not getting pregnant!!

PLEASE ANY HELP IS WELCOME!

I am taking zinc, folic acid anf vit B6

Sweetheart, thanks for the invite!
Never realised it was so bloody difficult to get pregnant!

I am due to ovulate on Wednesday, do you know when is the best time to try after to OPK is positive?

when you get a positive you should bd for the following 24-48 hour period.

I'm on my 9th month of ttc and I can tell you I never thought it would be this hard - I fell whilst on the pill with my 1st!!!!

we have been bd for about 48hrs after positive OPK, morning and night!!!!

my other half is in heaven! but is this too much?

possibly!!!

My dh and I try to bd every other day as this gives his "swimmers" time to rejuvenate. Having said that I know the temptation to go for it when your ovulating.

Maybe you should limit it to once a day when your ovulating.

I don't have all the answers I'm affraid - if I did I'd be pregnant by now

forgot to say that, we are on our 10th month and I am 41yrs old in Nov.... my other half is 37yrs.
statistics say that, I only have a 5% chance of becoming pregnant because of my age! So this is why I am so despirate for any help/advice.

Sorry jeddah, I don't know why I just assumed this was your 1st month of trying.

I think there are others of a similar age to you over on ttc 11 - everyone is so friendly and I have used it as a constant source of support, friendship and advice since I joined on ttc8. To be it is invaluable!!!!

I am a bit thick! I know what ttc is short for but what is 'ttc 11' and how do I get on it?

When you say you only have a 5% chance of getting pregnant at your age, do you mean per month don't you? Not overall? Because of course your chances of getting pregnant over the next year are far higher...

Anyway, sweetheart is right that there is little to be gained in BDing more than once a day, because the semen quality won't have had time to build up. I usually try to do one when I have started my fertile period (got fertile CM), then on the first day of the two blue lines, then the day after.

Once again, welcome - and looking forward to exchanging lots of advice, tips and support.
