Hi all,

I have posted on a few threads before but this is the first one ever started!
I'm turning to here because I can't talk to anyone in the 'real world'!! I've been with my other half for a good few years and having children was always a subject we talked about in the early days and he said he wanted them and then he changed his tune a little bit. Think he thought if he said he wanted one I'd jump on him there and then (I wouldn't!!) 😂 Anyway, I digress, over the last few months (nearly a year) he has been talking a lot about wanting to start a family. At the moment we are stalling due to weddings we are going to and I'm bridesmaid for. But is it really bad that it's all I can think about at the moment? I've started taking Asda's multivitamin things for all stages of pregnancy including conception because we're thinking of starting TTC May time ish. Is there anything else I should be doing? And I'm sorry but I just need to tell someone because I'm excited to be thinking of starting this journey even though I know it could take a while!!

Hey I completely get what you mean about being excited even though you haven't properly started TTC yet, DH and I have been saying "when we move house" for years and now that's finally happening! I also don't have anyone to tell in the real world so come here to share ☺️

I am just starting TTC but gently as have only recently taken last pill and am aware that things may take some time to start working again, so I'll probably still be around in May.

Are you on any contraception atm? Anything in particular type waiting for in May before you start TTC?

@CoalCraft it's exciting isn't it! Ha
I'm not taking any contraception at the moment. I stopped taking the pill in preparation a few months ago and we've been using condoms since! Luckily my periods seem to have reverted to a fairly regular cycle so hopefully that will continue! 🤞🏻
You may be a month or 2 ahead of me... but that's ok, you'll be able to tell me what to expect if you are!! 🤣
