Hello! Only on CD7 and not due to ovulate for another 10ish days, just looking for some company and chat for the month. Is anyone else on a similar cycle and due to test the end of March? X

*Folic Acid 🙄😂

emma4282 · 12/03/2020 19:18

I've cut out all alcohol unless I'm on my period - not a big drinker anyways so doesn't make any difference and when we've been out for drinks with friend in the TWW period I've just said I'm driving and no ones questioned it 😬
Been taking folic acid since October!

Hayleylou89 · 12/03/2020 19:35

Hey girls this is my first cycle since my loss (22wks) I think i ovulated on sat (according to opks) and im 5dpo now but with it being my first cycle since my loss, i havnt had AF yet since and my hormones could be all over the place so im hoping the opks where right and i am in the tww ... im cd 35 now and my normal cycle is 35/38 so i might get a bit excited if i get to cd38 and not AF shows 🤞🏻 good luck to everyone testing this month 🤞🏻

ThomasinVye · 13/03/2020 07:39

Hi I am cycle day 25 but only 4DPO from my calculations. My normal cycle is 28/31 days hoping to test next Wednesday which would still be quite early but would be cycle day 30. Knowing my luck I will have a super long cycle for no reason. Wishing you all luck and hope we see some lovely positive tests soon

Icouldstillbejoseph · 13/03/2020 10:07

@calimommy at least my post was of some use!

I feel like I can't even be bothered with taking them anymore - feels like a waste of time. What a responsible attitude Hmm

lsmbx · 13/03/2020 11:07

Anyone else have a DP who is completely oblivious on the effort you have to put in to conceive a child?! 🤣 'I don't know why you are doing all this extra stuff like keeping a track of these things you are weeing on, taking vitamins and now you want to buy expensive lube, surely we just DTD and the jobs done' 🙄🙄🙄🙄 it's so simple for them isn't it 😂 us gals out here with our apps and sticks

cmonbaby · 13/03/2020 11:42

This may be a silly question - but regarding the 12 week scan, would this be 12 weeks from the date your last cycle started?

ThomasinVye · 13/03/2020 14:29

Hi @cmonbaby yep from first day of your last cycle. At your intro appointment the MW will work this out (although you can figure this out yourself easily).

@Ismbx yep. He is oblivious and thinks I'm slightly bonkers. He is the most laid back person you will ever meet and is thinks it will happen when it does! He drives me crazy but also reigns me in. I like to think of we were both equally obsessed we would get nothing done and be very stressed

calimommy · 13/03/2020 14:31

@cmonbaby yes. Gestation is calculated from your last period start date, so in a sense you get two 'free' weeks. Ultrasounds might change these dates because ovulation, conception and implantation dates are fluid, even if you track symptoms you never know the exact moment these occur.

Olivia2020 · 16/03/2020 10:56

How is everyone doing? I am just in a waiting game now, have waves of thinking it will be our month and then know it probably won't!

Icouldstillbejoseph · 16/03/2020 11:09

I've started my joyous week of pre-AF spotting which saves me a fortune in pg tests.

TTC can piss off.

Good luck to everyone else

A08x · 16/03/2020 14:04

I ovulated a bit earlier than expected! Hadn’t really been doing OPKs as much this month in an effort to “relax”.
Got a pop-up on my phone on Saturday from an app to notify that I hadn’t logged a test in a few days so prompted me to do one & it was positive lol so glad I checked now.

In waiting stage now. I read that in Asian countries the woman take measures to keep the womb warm to encourage conception so I am not drinking anything below room temp & wearing fluffy socks at all times 😂 willing to try anything!

Hope everyone is doing well 💗

@Icouldstillbejoseph sorry to hear that. But I'm you're not out until you're out! Fingers crossed.

@Olivia2020 still 8 days to wait here. I'm not hopeful in the slightest anyway as we only managed to dtd once anywhere near O day. Booo.

ThomasinVye · 18/03/2020 13:13

Hi. How is everyone getting on.
I am cycle day 30 and 8DPO. Normally I have 30day cycles but clearly ovulated late this month so my cycle is probably going to be longer.
So far no period symptoms or any symptoms at all. Trying so hard not to test and I don't think I will until Sunday now.

Is everyone managing ok in this very strange time. I am a social worker and working from home, no visits allowed unless an emergency and my holiday was cancelled. However I think I'm lucky I have the option to work at home and I work for the council who will pay me if I have to self isolate with my family or am sick. Think the constant news coverage is causing far to much anxiety and making simple things so hard, my partner suffers from hayfever and I had to go to 5 shops for tablets! Also our thermometer broke and eventually my GP got me one (our little boy has seizures and heat us a massive trigger).

emma4282 · 18/03/2020 15:22

@ThomasinVye
Hi, I'm CD19, around 6-7DPO now and waiting impatiently to test, I'm going to try and wait until next Tuesday / Wednesday and would be amazing to get a BFP as it's our anniversary on Wednesday (so would be a nice bit of good news given the current situation!)

Glad you're able to WFH, myself and partner are working from home, we are both able to so instruction has been to wfh until further notice! Other half only has to go out to very important meetings that cannot be cancelled which thankfully isn't many. My dad had multiple health issues and although he doesn't live with me I've chosen to almost self isolate so I am still able to help him (I'm only going to the shops if desperate - but he and I are all stocked up for the next couple of weeks - not panic buying(!) just making sure there is food in the house) hope you're ok at the strange time!

calimommy · 18/03/2020 15:34

Hi all, 11DPO here and randomly decided to test this morning. This is immediately after I dipped it. Not a great photo but I was so surprised tbh. I'll test again tomorrow.

We are also quarantined, I'm trying to manage the children's boredom (and my own) tbh the last few days have actually been very busy because I'm having to switch activities quickly enough to keep them from fighting. Not sure I'll be able to maintain this level of enthusiasm for 4 weeks, or longer. I'm finding school work difficult to keep up 😬. DH is wfh and says he's getting more work done than at work because he's not being interrupted constantly, that may change though! 😂

emma4282 · 18/03/2020 15:50

@calimommy ah congratulations!!!! 😍😍😍😍 how long have you been TTC?

Haha I don't mind working from home although the situation is sad as to why we're working from home and I'm definatly going to eat all of the contents of my fridge! Plus side is all the washing is up to date haha!

calimommy · 18/03/2020 16:02

This is later, it's a bit clearer there. 😬

Yes my washing is also up to date 😂 I had to tell the cleaner not to come but tbh I'm keeping on top of things myself anyway as I'm SO bored 😭

ThomasinVye · 18/03/2020 19:25

@calimommy what absolutely wonderful news. Smile cheered me up. My house is spotless too. No washing, dinner ready for 5pm. I quite like WFH although feel very bad about assessing people over the phone. Will come back to haunt is in a few months I am sure. Some people are far better at advocating for themselves/family than others and people who are in more dire situations often do not complain!

@emma4282 I hope you get good news. I really want this to be my month (and yours now with your anniversary). Good news and something to look forward to is what we need. This will not last forever and I know I am fortunate but this will be hard financially but will not destroy our family we both have good jobs with good companies.
I am avoiding my father in law who is recovering from lung cancer I worry for my partner more than anyone if I am honest. To look at he is a strapping 6ft 2 physically fit young man. But he has severe asthma and multiple allergies and he is an engineer. He won't stop working until they force him Sad

Olivia2020 · 19/03/2020 16:23

Yay @calimommy that's so great!

I feeling anxious about the whole Coronavirus thing tbh! Thought I might be pregnant but now I think not! We will see in a few days I guess :)

Have a nice evening girls!

FuzzyGoose · 20/03/2020 07:13

Hi guys! I commented on this thread and then disappeared for a bit. Hope you're all ok! I was late for AF so took a cheap test and looks positive! Going to get a digital probably to confirm. Feeling very mixed emotions atm with every thing going on. Hope everyone is staying safe! X

calimommy · 20/03/2020 13:50

Thank you @Olivia2020 & @ThomasinVye the tests are much darker now so I'm happy with that. Excited! Told DH last night and he's happy although I don't think he thought it would work because he was absolutely floored 😂

I'm now looking at the giant stash of gin and wine I got in for quarantine and thinking damn! 😂

calimommy · 20/03/2020 13:50

@FuzzyGoose congratulations 🥳 xx

A08x · 20/03/2020 15:08

@calimommy @FuzzyGoose congrats to you both! ❤️
