Hello! Only on CD7 and not due to ovulate for another 10ish days, just looking for some company and chat for the month. Is anyone else on a similar cycle and due to test the end of March? X

@Mrsdingle2019 I believe ovulation is between days 6-12 DPO - so could well be 🤞🏼 when are you thinking of testing?

Mrsdingle2019 · 11/03/2020 21:10

@emma4282 I'm keeping my fingers crossed but think I'm doing my hubby's head in with the obsession 😂 he keeps telling me that what will be will be and I'm in danger of setting myself up for a fall, but with this feeling today I cant help feeling like this is our month.

I checked on the clearblue website and it says Tues 17th to test early, af due Thurs 19th. Seems awful close to af, 6 days before missed would be Sunday so maybe then? Not sure I can last that long tbh, I honestly feel like time has slowed down this month!

emma4282 · 11/03/2020 21:20

@Mrsdingle2019 haha sounds like my other half, he's very much 'it will happen when it happens' & I'm like 'I got a positive smiley on the ovulation' he's like 'ok, just relax' 😂 which is true as I think we stress ourselves out!

The worst thing I think you can do is test early and be disappointed, the first month I was texting almost every time I went for a wee and I became obsessed - I'm now determined this month not to test until at least 12 DPO (she says...) 😂

Fingers crossed you get your BFP! Keep us updated 🤞🏼

Mrsdingle2019 · 11/03/2020 21:25

@emma4282 God love him, he is as on board as me, and I think is trying really hard too not to get his hopes up while keeping me calm at the same time.

Yeah I'm going to wait til Monday at least I reckon, I would hate to be disappointed and then doubt it. I'm no good at being patient so we will see how that goes 😂

🤞🤞 I'll keep you posted!

@Mrsdingle2019 The earliest day I should test is Tuesday too, I’ve bought two clear blue early detection tests tonight Smile

A08x · 11/03/2020 21:45

@ThomasinVye I have been trying for 7 months..I have only been drinking alcohol during my period & up until a few days before ovulation. I’ve decided from this month on I’m not gonna live by that rule anymore as there have been times/events in the last few months that I would have enjoyed a drink but have gone without for what has turned out to be for no reason!

@Nat4392 similar thought process as yourself. X

@calimommy I like that..enjoy it all until that 2nd line lol.

Hey there, can I join?

I think I'm ovulating today / tomorrow. Unfortunately DH has been out drinking with work so not up to the job tonight, so we might miss the boat this month.

Mrsdingle2019 · 11/03/2020 21:45

@1987Nic I bought the clearblue triple check pack the other day so it's all ready to go. I'm just trying really hard to keep busy and keep my mind off it til Tuesday, not easy!

1987Nic · 11/03/2020 21:53

@leaferty Definitely worth trying tomorrow ❤️
@Mrsdingle2019 I could only find a pack of two as I just decided to buy them last minute in Tesco. It’s so hard to try to stop thinking about being pregnant 24/7, might bf is super excited but has said don’t feel upset If it doesn’t happen this month.

Littlepeas2 · 11/03/2020 22:07

Hey ladies. Hope you don’t mind me joining! I’m due to ovulate Sunday/Monday according to my app. I’m already dreading going into the TWW and I haven’t even ovulated yet 🙈

Olivia2020 · 11/03/2020 23:56

@Littlepeas2 welcome! Sending baby dust

leaferty · 12/03/2020 11:54

Woohooo think I'm still getting a positive opk this morning so fingers crossed for tonight! 🤞 this is only month one of ttc and I already feel stressed.

With my first I fell pregnant on the first month so I feel anxious it's going to take ages this time!

Butterflyflower1234 · 12/03/2020 12:04

Hi all

Is anyone else reading into every twinge your body is giving? I just noticed my boobs are sore and I had the biggest grin on my face (weirdo!!).

I also feel so tired and hormonal but I put it down to possibly jet lag as we came back from long haul holiday on Saturday.

I'm currently 5 DPO so I might massively be reading into things. These two weeks are long AF.

I bought a clear blue early pregnancy test which says it should show up to 6 days before missed period. I'm due on 22/03/20 so I might take the test next Wednesday.

Mrsdingle2019 · 12/03/2020 12:32

@Butterflyflower1234 OMG I am so with you!

I feel like time has stopped, I'm a little ahead of you (but only by 2 days) and I'm freaking out! 🤯

My hubby thinks I'm losing the plot and I'm starting to agree with him 😂 I've got a clearblue early detection test as well and am going to try my very hardest to wait until Monday at least to do it. I'm terrified that if I test too early and its negative I will be devastated. Af due Thursday so 6 days prior would be Saturday but thats only 9dpo.

I honestly didn't think ttc would get under my skin so much, I knew I wanted it of course but this month I feel like we have timed everything pretty bang on so cant help but get my hopes up!

Baby dust to everyone 💕💕

Butterflyflower1234 · 12/03/2020 13:29

@Mrsdingle2019 Welcome to the crazy club lol

I'm with you too not wanting to test too early. You can make it to Monday. Do you lots of nice things planned over the weekend to keep you busy?

I've started reading a really good baby book (can't remember the name sorry) and it explains the two week wait and how some people act as though they are already pregnant so reduce alcohol/caffeine etc. Have you done this?

She also has a really different view on alcohol and say 1-2 drinks per week during the first trimester is ok and in the second/third it's even ok to drink up to one drink per day. I don't drink that regularly as it is but it's nice to know it's not completely off limits.

Mrsdingle2019 · 12/03/2020 13:39

@butterflyflower1234 dont have that much planned for the weekend, going to watch my step son play rugby on Saturday so my nerves will be defo diverted to that for a little while. Plenty to be getting on with in the house though to keep me entertained lol!

I dont really drink all that much so that's not a problem for me (and I reckon good if I do fall because noone will suspect if I dont have a drink!) I am however a nightmare for coffee. Decaf is on my shopping list and I have cut down to just the 2 cups a day and less strong (I would usually put 2-3 spoons of instant into a cup) dont know if that's enough but it's a start I reckon!

Butterflyflower1234 · 12/03/2020 13:44

@Mrsdingle2019 Do you mind me asking how old your SS is? I have SC so it'll be interesting to see how they react to the news.

We've recently got married and they showed zero interest in that so it might be the same with a baby. I'm just hoping in time things will be better with them.

Mrsdingle2019 · 12/03/2020 13:52

@butterflyflower1234 Hes 16, 17 in October. It's a long story but he has lived with us for the past 4 and a half years as his mum threw him out of her house age 12 and has had little to do with him since, so a bit of a unique situation!

We got married in July last year and he was my hubbys best man, it was so sweet, his speech had me in floods of tears! Defo not easy being a step-parent but moments like that make it worth it, and that's the true colour of him, not the huffy nonsense!

Not sure how he will react but my hubby thinks he will relish the chance to be a big brother and I tend to agree.

How old is your sc?

Butterflyflower1234 · 12/03/2020 14:09

@Mrsdingle2019 I'm sorry to hear that it's been hard but it sounds like he's much better off living with you both.

We have a DSS 13, DSD 10 and DSD 6. It's so difficult as they are wonderful children but they are heavily influenced by how Mum is feeling so they take a lot on their shoulders.

Luckily we've been very open with them about wanting a DC so it won't come as a shock. but it may certainly be an adjustment.

calimommy · 12/03/2020 14:13

@Butterflyflower1234 we are cycle twins, AF due 22 as well. 😬😬😬

Butterflyflower1234 · 12/03/2020 15:03

@calimommy How exciting!! I'll make sure to log on that weekend to see how you're doing :-)

Olivia2020 · 12/03/2020 15:07

I was going to ask the same things about cutting out things like alcohol in the tww. Sounds stupid but does things like drinking effect implantation?!

Icouldstillbejoseph · 12/03/2020 15:19

@calimommy sorry to be pedantic but you never 'share' a bloodstream with your baby. The maternal blood content can affect conception from the time the sperm meets the egg.
Otherwise we wouldn't be advised to take folic acid pre-conception and similar.

That being said, there is really no evidence about the harm/no harm of alcohol in pregnancy or pre conception so it's personal choice.

calimommy · 12/03/2020 15:32

@Icouldstillbejoseph well perhaps my turn of phrase was unclear but the placenta facilitates transfer of blood products/nutrients from the mother to baby so this is what I was referring to. Until the yolk sac stops nourishing the developing foetus when the placenta takes over this transfer of nutrients doesn't occur. My point was more to the topic of women going around for months adhering to pregnancy-like lifestyles which is both restrictive and puts a huge amount of stress upon them. I certainly won't be suggesting women drink while pregnant, the consequences are well documented. But do I think some people behave ridiculously precious when ttc & pregnant? Yes.

calimommy · 12/03/2020 15:33

@Icouldstillbejoseph also you have just reminded me I am nearly at the end of my Foliate so need to buy more 👍
