Not sure this is exactly what you’re after but I’ve had a couple of copper coils. First one was pre child. Insertion was very painful for over 24 hours. Was intending to get it removed as it was coming to the end of the 10 years and also wanted to try for a baby. Before I got round to making an appointment I started having really bad abdominal pain. GP said it was just period pain Hmm. Later that day I discovered that the coil was half out of my cervix - gave it a tug and it slid out. Pain immediately stopped.

Second coil was after my DS. Had it inserted as soon as I could postnatally (6 weeks ish) and accidentally pulled it out a few months later removing my period cup. Absolutely no pain, managed to just whip it straight out!

They seem much easier on the exit that the entry!

Hi I had mine removed mid November, no pain at all came straight out, currently still ttc. Good luck ☺️

hey, I had my coil removed last October not too much pain in removal but 2 days later I came on and hemorrhaged (menorrhage) has to go on tablets to control the bleed. Conceived more or less 6 weeks after removal but unfortunately ended in a miscarriage at 7 weeks. Now first cycle ttc post mc
