Hi last week from weds onwards I got positive tests that got a bit darker over the last few days, yet today when I tested two were negative and one very faint (2 frer and one ic) is this likely to be a chemical? All tested from the same fmu.
Just wondering if anyone had any happy endings from similar situation x

No advice but currently experiencing the same and I think it's a chemical 😪

This happened to me and it was a chemical... I was having lots of cramps as well. Positive test Thursday, darker Saturday, very faint Sunday and bleeding Wednesday. Cramps started on the Saturday.

Sorry guys.. it sucks. No cramps or bleeding yet. I also had a history of ectopic so a bit worried it might be another one

Does sound possible I’m afraid. Where in your cycle are you?

Sammyclaire22 · 01/03/2020 09:51

About 17dpo. Guess I just have to wait for AF now :(

Similar happened to me, faint but definite positive on the day af was due, got darker over the next few days but started spotting and test was lighter. It's horrible. X

@venusstarr did recognise your username from the pregnancy loss thread- did your GP acknowledge it as a miscarriage? I had a MMC and obviously they dont do tests untill you had 3 so not sure whether to log this with my GP?

VenusStarr · 01/03/2020 10:36

Hi @Anny27 I didn't see my GP but did pop into the surgery to ask the receptionist to pass onto the GP.
I saw our recurrent miscarriage consultant last week and talked about it and he said it does count, so he's writing to my GP so it is on my notes. Im under a Tommy's clinic and they have told me they won't prescribe progesterone until I've had 4, so he was keen to record this in my notes.
I would get it recorded. I am under a fertility clinic so it was my consultant who referred us after 2 MMCs (partly due to my age but as it took so long to conceive first time round). I have had the blood tests but all fine, so I'm privately going for biopsies at the Coventry implantation clinic to look for nk cells.

I'm sorry for your losses ❤️ Xx

Thanks @Venusstarr I will log it with my GP then!

Good luck with your biopsies and I hope that you have your rainbow baby soon 💗

How soon after the lighter tests did people get cramps or bleeding? I've had neither today and feel like I'm in limbo now

Anny27 · 01/03/2020 21:53

@sammyclaire22 it's meant to be pretty soon after the lighter tests but not sure!

VenusStarr · 02/03/2020 06:58

@Sammyclaire22 I still had a faint test when I started spotting but I know others have had negatives for a few days before they bleed, so it can vary. Hope you're not in limbo too long x

Sammyclaire22 · 03/03/2020 17:18

Thanks guys, I started spotting last night after bad back ache all day and properly bleeding today. In a way its a relief as it's almost certain it's not another ectopic. It's also been a lot easier to cope with being out of my control x
