Hey! I'm TTC and breastfeeding my toddler mornings and before bed.
My periods returned 4 month pp despite EBF. They've been regular and I was always a 35 day cycle.
However since returning PP I'm creeping more towards a 37/38 day cycle with the legnth in the follicular phase and a normal luteal phase.
I'm ovulating (OPKs and temping) but I'm not pregnant yet!
Anyone take vitex or have any tips for bf and TTC? Could my egg quality be bad (I'm very sure I'm ovulating) because I'm still BF?
Thanks

I’ve taken vitex to conceive plus progesterone cream to maintain early pregnancy - had successful pregnancy. This was my first tho so can’t comment re breastfeeding and ttc. Never heard of breastfeeding effecting egg quality I just thought it prevented ovulation/periods to some extent x

Thanks Mollie. Where did you find the best source of information for the dose of vitex etc?

Actually I just followed instructions on the brand I used which was
PremEeze Agnus Castus 400mg | NATURES AID HEALTH PRODUCTS
On Amazon or eBay
2 tablets a day
But I believe I cut it down to 1 a day later on in pregnancy then cut out altogether near end. As in weaned myself off as I’ve heard if you just point blank stop this can effect hormones and thus baby.
Hope it works for you if you do give it a go x

Thanks so much I really appreciate your help! I'm not intrigued and nervous! I will get some and maybe start with a small dose :) and obviously I will do more research to see if it's BF friendly
