How long after my period should I start testing? And after I get the static smiley when does that mean I will ovulate? I'm going to be using opks for the first time next month Smile

The instructions are on the CB website. They explain how and when to test, what the readings mean etc. You get the same instructions in the box too but it's good to read them online before purchasing, just to make sure you're happy with spending the money.

This depends on your cycles as people will ovulate on different days. If you have regular cycles, this should be easier to predict. Remember the OPKs are not suitable for you if you have any history of PCOS or taking certain medications and do take them with a pinch of salt as they're not totally reliable. If you're having sex regularly whilst you're TTC, you won't need these kits. They can cause more stress than they're worth and they're very expensive to be doing regularly.

Ive used these for a couple of months. I just started tested early, day 5 I think. I figured it would at least get a good idea of my baseline hormones, which is how these OPKs work. Got 3 days of circles, 3/4 of flashing before static.

Once you get flashing in the morning start testing in the afternoon too, trying not to drink a few hours before.
