Hello!
Me and my fiancé are ttc and have only been trying since the beginning of the year but I have never been so invested in anything in my entire life. It’s all I think about. I am 24 and he’s 25 but I’m slightly overweight.
We have been taking pregnacare his and hers conception tablets daily.
According to my apps (glow & Flo) my period is due in either 3 or 5 days. And I ovulated on the 15th of Feb.

For about 4/5 days my boobs have been so heavy and so sore and my nipples have basically been sticking out the entire time. Today I have been spotting and about 2 days ago there was a little spotting when I wiped (sorry if tmi). I’ve been so tired and I’ve been having the odd back and tummy twinge. I don’t know whether to wait and see if I’m just wanting something so bad I’m focusing on symptoms or if I should go and get a clearblue early detection test.

No one knows we are trying so I have no one to talk to about this and I just need some advice from people who have been through it please.

Thanks!

I found when TTC that my body went a bit crazy and I had pregnancy symptoms nearly every month. I think I was just hyper focused on what my body was doing.

That being said, it’s perfectly possible that you are indeed pregnant, especially if that spitting is unusual for you. You’ve nothing to lose (bar a few quid) if you take a test.

I personally think early detection tests are a waste of money. While it is a stressful and anxious time during the TWW, it's so much better that getting false negatives and makes chemical pregnancies more emotional. It will also save you a lot of money if you want until your period is due!

I never had any symptoms for either pregnancies until I was 5 weeks plus but everyone is different. Fingers crossed for you OP! Flowers

If you are looking for “symptoms”, you’ll find them whether or not you’re actually pregnant.

The best thing is to wait until your period is late and test then.

Last Pregnancy (MC at 9 weeks) I had niggling pains in my lower tummy and back on my left side. Which I thought was a kidney infection. The pain in my boobs was indescribable to the point where I would have to sit and hold a hot water bottle or a cup of tea against them, I had the most horrific heartburn too and my right nipple permanently stuck out. Now all these plus the late periods seem to be just normal pre period symptoms for me now!

I took a early response test about a week before I was due my period and it came up positive really clearly.

(the 5+ normal tests afterwards did too!)

Taking a test will do no harm. When I was TTC I'd over analyse every thing so just started testing a week before and a few days after I was due to stop my head playing guessing games.
