Anyone starting a new cycle?

My AF just arrived so I was wondering if anyone was in a similar place to keep each other company through next month's insanity?

I'm 32, been TTC DC1 since we got married last June. Admittedly we put in more effort some months than others but it is starting to get to me now.

I'm on CD4 but happy to join? 32 as well trying for DC1. Are you trying anything in particular to help the process along?

I'll join as I'm also early in my cycle, and felt obligated as I'm 32 as well!

On cycle day 6 here of what I expect to be a 28 day cycle. Trying for number 3, month 5.

@Juno231 trying ovulation strips for the first time in my life, just going to do it this month to see if I can detect ovulation, but I know they are not a fail safe as can be wrong so will be dtd as much as possible from tomorrow it'll

Hi ladies, what a nice little 32-year-old club we've got!

I think I'll try BBT this cycle - though I'm not sure if I'll stick to it, waking up at the same time every day sounds like a pain (not to mention I still keep reading BBT as the Big Bang Theory 😂). Also started taking ubiquinol last month but apparently it takes 3 cycles for it to make a difference.

Are you trying anything new this cycle @Juno231 ? How long have you been TTC?

@ChampooPapi I have tried OPKs during some cycles before, but not consistently. I go back and forth about whether I like them or not, I always end up staring at them for ages because I can't quite decide if they're positive.

@Littlepeas2 We'll let you in 😁 How old are your kids? I bet it's harder to TTC when you have little ones already! I've always wanted 3 children though at the moment I'd settle for one!

Ah yes I don't think I'll use the giant bags of cheap OPKs where you have to stare at the line cause I'd just doubt myself every time. Last cycle I just used boots ones around the time I thought I was due to ov - just to confirm my app was indeed correct. I think I'll do the same this time but try and squeeze more DTD time in as we only managed to two days before OD last cycle! (this time OH has requested a DTD schedule so he can be onboard lol). SMEP won't be for us I'm afraid as OH is quite happy to only DTD 1/week and he'd die if asked to do SMEP.

Oh and the reason I want to use OPKs again this time is because my cycle randomly shrank from like 27/28 to 25 days in Feb! So I'm worried it has messed with my app's prediction.

Don't think BBT is for me as all the charts have put me off on how complicated it looks! Might change my tune if TTC drags on though...

Any room for an oldie (well a 37 yr old)? TTC no2 for 3 years (no1 is 4 years old & a Dec baby so I have mixed feelings about a March conception). Currently on month 2 of a reflexology regime so using BBT & OPK (& most other things 😂😂😂😂). On CD2 today

@Juno231 I completely understand, I'm not sure BBT is for me either to be honest! But since this is cycle 9 or 10 (I've lost count) I think I need to try something new. I had an oddly light period (preceeded by a week of spotting) last month so I want some reassurance I'm even ovulating at this point.

Haha that's very organised of your OH to ask for a schedule 😂 I think mine would be up for daily (we got close to that this month) but I can't handle it!

@3isthemagic Welcome! I think it could be quite nice to have two DC born in December. My OH's birthday is in December as well and he loves Christmas. I was thinking that if we got lucky this cycle and end up with a December baby, the whole run up to Christmas with the birthdays could be really festive - but of course that's me getting ahead of myself 😄

I'm on CD 5 of my first cycle TTC. I have been lurking on here for a few months before my husband agreed that now is a good time to start TTC! Using OPKs to track my LH this month. Might try temping next cycle if nothing this time around...

@AliSxo Of course you can, always good to speak with you! I haven't seen you around lately so hoped that maybe you'd been successful. On the bright side you're in the exciting part of the cycle now! Are you trying anything different this cycle?

@MrsPattenson Welcome, hope you have a quick and smooth TTC journey! I have only just started temping, curious to see what it shows - though I doubt I'll do it every month.

@MrsPattenson hello! We're on the same CD! Cycle 2 for me but I don't think I'll start BBT until I'm a few more cycles in. Thinking I might use pre seed next cycle if AF shows up again though.

@Raizelrea hey, how are you feeling? Fresh week and ready to hopefully have as much sex as humanly possible when my partner is back Thursday untill Monday. Went for it this past weekend so 4 notches on the bedpost so far 🙄🤞

I don't trust these ovulation tests hence why I starting bd early plus with the man being away in the week it's the only chance.

I am feeling very positive about my chances this month, I feel like I'm just going to let myself believe for once, and throw myself into that way of thinking . Why not, if it doesn't happen I can spend next month being a realist again.

It's only cycle 5 for me so keeping the faith that my body might still not be ready yet, or the universe might not be ready yet for my third baby yet.

@Juno231 how are you getting on generally? I know your only on cycle day 5 but strangers things have happened then women getting pregnant the week after their period (it happened with my last)

@champoopapi haha well if I am then I am blissfully unaware of it! Starting my OPKs today and had CM this morning which I don't usually have so I assume it's a good sign for fertile week commencing! Am paranoid that I will somehow miss OD though due to my cycle having been a bit funny recently.

Am so keen for this to be my month as I mentally would be feeling sad about going another year without a baby and this is my last shot at 2020... Plus I keep thinking it would be fantastic to tell OH on his birthday which is at the end of the month!

@ChampooPapi Sounds like you've got the perfect mindset going! As much sex as humanly possible is a great plan 😊 What CD are you on now?

I was a bit under the weather over the weekend, feeling lots better now so in a much better mood. I think I'll take a page out of your book! My AF was oddly short this month - normally it's 6-7 days but this time it only lasted 3 days which is odd, but no point worrying about it! Just means I may start DTD a lot sooner as well.

Can I join? I'm 33 (just missed out on the 32 club) birthday was Yesterday! Im trying for my 3rd. On cycle day 4, usually 28 day cycle but this is my first af since miscarriage in January, so could be out of whack. Going to try opk this month just to see where I'm at with ovulation and whether it's delayed. Fingers crossed for everyone.

Hi @Littlepeas2 I've got quite a gap! My DS are 13 and 11. Not sure if this month will be it for me as it's my first cycle, but tracking my ovulation will at least give me some hope that it may happen again. My AF had already gone on longer than usual, but I was told it can take a few cycles to settle down.

I'm also trying for number 3, doing a lot of hoping and wishing but keeping mindful as well as letting it hang out, I certainly need that balance otherwise I start spiraling.

Aww thanks @ChampooPapi, it does seem like a good group, and how nice that many of us our close in age - though you ladies have a head start on me as I'm only TTC my first child.

I've not lasted very long with the BBT, think I may just stick to OPKs.

What's everyone doing for supplements?
