Hi all,

Apologies in advance for the long post - but please advise if you can.

I had my Nexplanon implant removed on 20th Jan. I started my period the same day until the 26th. I then had unprotected sex (using the "pull-out method" ) on the 9th, 10th and 11th Feb.

I've not yet had a period although my periods have always been quite irregular (as far as I can remember - however I have had the implant for 10+ years). I use a period tracker app which suggests I ovulated around the 6th Feb and it's saying I am 8 days late. I've taken 2 home pregnancy tests which have both come back negative, although neither have been first thing in the morning.

Could I be pregnant? Are the tests reliable? Could it be too early to show? Will my GP do a blood test to check this early on? Shall I do another test and if so, how long shall I wait?

I've convinced myself I am pg (not planned, but if I am I'll be over the moon) but I am going insane with the not knowing ?!

Any advice is hugely appreciated! I have sought advice on another site forum but have had no response :(

X

I think it can just take a while for your cycle to return after having the implant out. If you've taken two tests and they are negative I'd be inclined to say your cycle is just delayed sorry Smile xx
