MMC - waiting to start bleeding

Hi all, I had what I thought was my 4th chemical a few weeks ago. Had bfp and really strong symptoms for 4 days then bfn and all my symptoms went overnight. That was 2 weeks ago. Technically I'd be nearly 6 weeks pregnant by now but I've still not had AF or any sign she is coming. I did another test on Sunday which was a bfn again. My GP says mmc and to go back in a week if no bleed or pain appears.I saw my gynaecologist this morning who said that I will bleed its just a matter of time, and to take what I lose in for testing when I do bleed

Has anyone experienced this? How long did it take to start bleeding? I'm worrying myself sick about it

So sorry @Whyhaveidonethis
I had a BFP on 2/8. Not very promising as I was 20dpo by then. The weekend prior I had a squinter. On 2/10 I had bloods done, and they came back neg :( Also, all of my preg symptoms had stopped that day.
My cramps and bleeding started on 2/14. Oddly/worryingly, it was only a bit heavy the first day with no clots, and then light after that, and lasted about 5 days.
So for me, from neg hcg test to bleed was about 5-6 days.
Last time I had a MMC, it was over 2 weeks before the bleeding started...and was much heavier and more painful, but I was also further along at 6/8weeks (stopped developing at 6wks).
I think each one is different. I'm sure it will come on soon for you.Flowers

Thanks for your reply @PMB123 I am starting to feel a bit scared I think. I've never had a mmc before, I've always bled straight away and it's freaking me out a bit. Just want it to be over now

I had a mc in November and when I had my blood test my hcg was only 13 and this was when I'd started to bleed so i think you only start to bleed when your hormone levels go really low, I think as my pregnancy symptoms had vanished That it had taken my body about 5-7 days to start bleeding now I look back so I suspect your levels are still dropping. It's a hard time for you right now so look after yourself Thanks xx

And just to add it started so tk cramps first so this might be a warning sign for you that it'll start soon if you start to cramp Thanks sorry your going through this xx

Hi
I found out I had a MMC at my 12 week scan, they suggested it happened around the 10 week stage..I decided to wait hoping it would happen but 2 weeks later and nothing so I went in for D&C. 4 weeks in total (maybe more if I'd left it!) think our bodies just don't action the loss sometimes.
I would go back in a few days if it's upsetting you and request the tablets to start things off.
Sorry for your loss, early Miscarriages are horrible and MMC are then a further kick in that you have to wait

I was given the tablets end of January as I felt like I couldn't wait and go through having a belly and feeling pregnant as I found out at my 12 week scan . I took them the day after my scan at 1 and was in hospital at 7 had SMM emergency operation early hours of the next morning. Even though it was traumatic I couldn't have waited it was like my body didn't want to let go as it has died at about 7 weeks ! Now I'm just waiting for my period so we can try again! Everyone's body is different you just got to do what's right for you . Good luck Hun my heart goes out to you x

Thank you @bb077, I just want it over so badly. It feels exactly like that to me, why won't my body let it go.

@whyhaveidonethis. Stay strong I guess if it didn't happen in a week then look at your options. If I could do it again I would have just had the op the bleeding after was nothing after the op compared to what happened in A&E I just wanted it over so I could start again . It's been a journey but a month after I'm finally starting to feel optimistic just waiting for my period .
