6 weeks late... positive test, help!

Hi all,

So we have been ttc for 9 months, since coming off the pill I have always had a weekly period but they have varied from 32 days to 38 day cycles. My last period was 6 weeks ago beginning of January, and I’ve never been this late before. I have been driving myself crazy, dr said last week with the bfn tests I’ve been getting that there’s no chance I’m pregnant this late on. We were actually being referred for blood tests etc next week. However I’ve been feeling sickly, bloated, weeing a lot, and decided to do my last first response test yesterday afternoon... positive!!! I took a test about 4pm, one at 7pm, they are together in the first picture. My worry is I’ve tested this morning with fmu and I expected it to be much darker and it’s not (second pic)?! Any advice or experience? I was thinking my hcg levels have not been high enough to detect the last few weeks on the tests but I wonder if I ovulated really late and I’m Actually pretty early on? I’m so worried the lines are going to disappear!

Hcg takes 48 hours to double in the early days.

Unless you were tracking ovulation there’s no way of knowing when you actually ovulated.

I’m just wondering if anyone has had any experience with a late positive?! I should be 6/7 weeks pregnant but only got my first positive yesterday - (clear blue 1-2weeks)..
I had a miscarriage in October then next period didn’t come until January.. so I’m thinking I’ve maybe ovulated late..
really want to stay positive but a little concerned as I would be 13 days late before I finally got a positive result. X
