Hi, just a little moan really as don’t have anyone to talk about with it, OH isn’t interested really!
But Getting abit obsessed with when I ovulated and if we got the timing right! It’s driving me insane trying to catch the egg. 3 years later and still hasn’t happened 😔
Had a positive opk on Wednesday (3 positives that day) so we dtd Thursday morning, I had ovulation pains all Thursday afternoon/evening. Then did it again Friday morning and once more this morning. Does anyone think I may have covered all bases? Or did we start too late ?
Any insight would be appreciated 🙂

From what I've read you need to be starting a bit earlier... apparently the best time is the lead up to ovulation, and ovulation day. Dont forget although some fast sperm get to the tubes within half an hour, some take a day or two to get there in which case they will be too late.
Are you able to tell when you are in the week leading up to ovulation? If not maybe try the clear blue advance opk which gives you 4 or more days heads up.

We usually start around cd11 every other day, or every day, it changes from cycle to cycle how frequently. So I like to think we have a good shot timing right every month, I'm quite good at tracking my symptoms etc but just never manage to catch! I should add I have pcos and have just finished round 6 of clomid.

I Would agree with pp and say you are maybe leaving it a little late- from what I've read sperm can live up to 5 days so ideally the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. If your date of ovulation tends to fluctuate (mine does) the sperm meets egg plan suggests dtd every other day from cd8 and then every day when you start getting high opks and the day after your peak (roughly- best to look it up to be exact as I don't follow it properly!) This means there should be sperm waiting in the tube ready for the egg just incase they are a little slow swimming so leaving it to ovulation day might mean they don't reach the tubes in time. A lot of apps will give you a %conception chance for different days depending on where you are in your cycle which might be worth looking at? Good luck x

I got pregnant in December (miscarried unfortunately) and I only dtd once that month 4 days before ovulation.
Start on the lead up I say
