Happy Friday everyone. I'm very confused and just wanting some advice or comfort to be honest. We've been TTC #1 since end of August with no joy. I'm vegan and was wondering if I could be deficient in any vitamins so went to the GP on Wed who kindly did a blood test to check. GP receptionist rang this afternoon to say the Dr would call me on Monday afternoon to discuss my blood test but not to worry.

Inevitably, I worried! And did a PG test. I had what I thought was a 3 day period 7 days ago after what I thought was a 23 day cycle. The bleed was light, but not light enough to think it was anything but a period, so we've cracked on DTD for cycle 7. However PG test today around 4pm threw this confusing response into the mix...I'm pretty sure there is a line but am rather confused as to how there can be. The PG test supposed to remind me I'm definitely not pregnant and stop me getting my hopes up all weekend has had the opposite effect 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Confused...

That's definitely a line! Your bleeding must have been ovulation related as that looks to me like a 7-9dpo test. Good luck!

Not sure if this helps you but I’ve had lines like that on FRER but then bfn. They’re so sensitive they can pick up natural levels (so I’ve read). Hope I’m wrong and you get your BFP soon - just helps to manage your expectations a bit.
Maybe try a different brand of test? CB early or I’ve heard Tesco cheapies are pretty good.

There are no such things as natural levels of hcg, hcg is only produced when pregnancy occurs. If there is a line on a test (that isn't completely white/grey in colour hours after the test was taken) then it has detected hcg. If a test then goes negative then it was a chemical pregnancy that didn't progress, it's not that the test is faulty.

Thank you all. Just as an update, I did another test this morning which was definitely negative, with FMU, so I'm certain this test must have just been an evap line or a dodgy test. Onwards with cycle 7!
