Yes apparently 25% of women have them during pregnancy, when I asked my midwife she said you have more blood during pregnancy so the pressure of it flowing through your veins can cause the capillaries in your nose to burst more - fascinating haha!

@Kiza yep prolonged my cycle from a 27-30 day cycle to a 37 day cycle!!!

Close I'm cd6 today, done my cd3 blood test and results are back, waiting for a call from dr as some were normal and some apparently need discussed 😬😬

@FarmerWantsABaby i'm glad you have got a scan booked in but know how much of a worrying time it is, I have had 2 missed miscarriages so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. I really hope that its good news for you.

@Kiza oh dont worry, I am a bit of a scaredy cat- mainly just around hospitals in general as I have a bit of fear of them which hasn't been helped over the past year! Woohoo for peak!!!! sounds really good for this cycle!

@Anny27 sounds promising lovely when are you testing?

@Lottiepink what were your bloods for hun? Nobody has ever mentioned me getting bloods done on certain cycle days do you think this is something I need to look into getting done?

@Anny27 that actually makes sense! More common than you think too! I am 12DPO today.

@Lozzlepop I booked a private appointment with a gynaecologist as it was going to take a year to get my TV scan! So I'm not really sure what will happen tomorrow if it's just an initial chat or if I'll get the scan! Just didn't want my AF to be here for it 👎🏼

@whatsthecraic91 ah yes so you did, sorry! It might just be an initial chat, our first appointment was height, weight, BMI and BP for us both and I got some bloods taken then everything else was booked in after that.

@Lozzlepop I got my day 21 test done which shows if you have ovulated along with lots of other things rubella, Thyroid, diabetes etc then this day 3 one was LH, FSH, progesterone and estradiol. I definitely would if you can, just rules things out etc I suppose. I wanted both bloods done so when we have our fertility app we can discuss the results.

@whatsthecraic91 aww such a shame, hopefully you will be able to get the test done before it arrives 🤞🏻thank you I will 😊
I would be prepared for the tests, when I rang about mine I was told for us both to be prepared for physical examination, but doesn't always happen.

Diagnosed with diabetes yesterday. In shock and absolutely devastated! Don't meet any of the criteria for type 2 so getting more blood tests to check which type. Been living a lifestyle that reverses type 2 for most people so not sure what this is. Blood sugar so high been referred to the pre-pregnancy unit and everything I've read so far says dangerous to conceive with blood sugar as high as mine!

@Lottiepink I just got CD21 bloods done but no mention of the CD3 ones, I might ask about that tomorrow!

@MIW01 wow!! I take it that diagnosis was completely unexpected? Do they have any idea how you developed it?

Indeed @whatsthecraic91 I am in total shock! I have no idea how this has happened. I have been eating low carb/keto real food for years which is known to reverse type 2. Have no risk factors for type 2. Hence being tested to see what type it is.

Thanks so much @Lozzlepop I don't think I it has hit me. I automatically put up the defence when it comes to emotions. I'm already preparing for the worst.
@whatsthecraic91 my D21 progesterone levels were low last month when they checked for ovulation. So surely if I was pregnant then they should have been high. If I'm 6 weeks as the dr says then I'd have been pregnant at that stage. I hope everything goes ok for you tomorrow. Please keep us updated xx

@MIW01 so sorry to hear that I know you have such a strict diet, however, I'm sure I read somewhere that having a Keto diet can cause type 2 diabetes if you don't have it already, I'm not sure for definite though, have you googled it?

@whatsthecraic91 OMG my doctor said that today, but I had googled it somewhere 🙈🙈 my bloods came back fine well LH, FSH and prolactin, but then progesterone was low which is what initiated the call (which it would be on cd3) she thought it was a day 21 blood, I explained on the phone and she said I've not heard of that test before, but I was referred for it by a doctor when I explained I was going to a fertility app - they did say that it's best to have had both done. So unless it's maybe only a test they usually do if day 21 bloods are abnormal I'm not sure. anyways long story short it seems my results were fine, and at least it's another thing tested 🤣🤣

@FarmerWantsABaby I'm not too sure on that, as day 21 bloods is only 7dpo usually, so that's normally even before implantation?

@MIW01 I am so sorry lovely! Must be really hard news to hear and digest. My close friend has type 1 diabetes and he took it hard at first but is now managing it really well. I am sure there a lots of local support groups (and online forums) that you can join xx

@Lozzlepop I am not testing till 15dpo (let's see if that lasts hahaha!) Never been good at self control

@MIW01 sorry btw my message seemed short, just re-read it. I totally get how frustrating and upsetting that must be for you, but defo worth a google. Your diet and the way you have stuck to it is fab, hopefully there is a way to help it all. Horrible getting that news though :(

This is my first time here! Ttc for a few months now and no joy. Period late this month but negative test this morning. Fed up feeling like I can’t talk to anyone about it so nice to see I’m not alone! X

@Lottiepink I didn't think of it that way actually. That makes sense. My head is fried. I am so busy all day working (I teach), putting on a confident face, then I come home to tutor until 8pm! Once it hits 8 all I do is think think think 💭

@Anny27 so far so good but I definitely expect her tomorrow morning, my flo is usually quite light until the second day so it shouldn't be too bad if she does make an appearance! How's the symptom spotting going?

@Cha0907 welcome! Are you tracking ovulation? Maybe you ovulated late and that's why AF is late?

@whatsthecraic91 hello! Yes been tracking ovulation using clear blue. This is month 3 off ttc and month 2 tracking ovulation etc.

I wonder if anyone can tell me anymore on chemical pregnancy? I hadn’t heard of this until today. Long story short I think I may have had this back in October. Period was late. Was totally convinced I was pregnant as had many symptoms. Waited over 2 weeks to take a test (negative) then had bleeding a lot heavier than usual period. It was this that really made us start ttc properly! X

TTC baby no1. I came off the pill in July last year. We have been having unprotected sex since but have only been 'trying' for the last 2 months.

I ovulated on the 9th Feb and on the 18th and 19th I had a small amount of spotting. Pinkish at first and then dark brown.

I am now 3 days overdue for my period. I took a test this morning and it was BFN.

Is there any chance I could still be pregnant or have I probably missed it for this month?

@Cha0907 ive never had a cp, but unfortunately There's a few on here that have and they will be better to reply about that. But was that October period the one after coming off contraception or were you not in any? How long are your cycles?

9dpo and feeling the same as normal apart from have had 2 nosebleeds now and had nausea last night when I was very hungry. So gotta try and stay full to keep that at bay. I usually get increased hunger around tww so not a symptom as such.

@cha0907 sounds like it might have been a chemical. I havent experienced a chemical (have had a mmc) so I am not sure what it's like sorry
