@Kiza I have since read the same but she mentioned the super ovulation & releasing more than one egg per month, in theory, gives you more chance but we'll see about that!
Whereabouts are you on your journey? Are you currently having/waiting any treatment?

Kiza · 05/05/2020 19:59

@Etonmess20 yeah that's the reason why she said I wasn't allowed due to the risk of super ovulation. Haha oh well, hope it helps you!
We are on cycle 21, I had a chemical around cycle 7 and a MC a few years back when we weren't trying.
We've had all the tests and have been referred for IVF so waiting for that before I turn 40 in October.
Have you tried Accupuncture or fertility diets?

@orangeloo oh yeah of course 🤦🏼‍♀️ long day at work and brain isn't working properly!

Etonmess20 · 05/05/2020 21:14

@Kiza I'm hoping so, I could definitely feel some differences this month so I'm hoping we've had some super ovulation going on & there's a BFP! You can dream can't you!
That's positive that you've got the IVF to look forward to, is that NHS?
No I haven't tried diet or acupuncture but I have had acupuncture for a should injury previously & it helped so I wouldn't rule it out. I just try to eat plenty of veg & keep reasonably fit. How about you? I saw a specific IVF diet book the other day, are you doing anything like that to prepare?
Have they ever found any reasons that you have been unable to conceive or is it unexplained?

Etonmess20 · 05/05/2020 21:15

@Kiza sorry, just read my last comment back & conceive was probably the wrong word. Just wondered if they'd found any reasons for the issues you've had with the MC & chemical x

Kiza · 05/05/2020 21:33

@Etonmess20 no as it's only 2 they won't investigate until it's been 3 mc so hopefully I won't reach that. All my tests came back fine (I'm just old! 😄). DP has 1% morphology but he produces approx 240ml sperm and motility is 70% both of which are super high so shouldn't be an issue. I've had Accupuncture and will return to it once lockdown ends and have started a high protein fertility diet with some super foods to aid good eggs being released. We also pop a ton of pills!
What differences do you feel since being on Clomid?

Etonmess20 · 05/05/2020 21:38

@Kiza that all sounds very promising so you'll be in the best shape for your IVF!! Frustrating they won't do any investigations until there's been 3 but at least you have a plan of action going forward!
I have definitely felt more bloated than usual & could feel twingey ovulation pains both sides (whereas I don't normally feel that much). I am now 2dpo & have sore boobs. Just more symptoms to spot I think 😂

Spinningthewheel · 05/05/2020 22:10

@Kiza 240ml! Bloody hell

Annny27 · 05/05/2020 22:49

240?? Omg it must flood out of you haha! @kiza 🙈

CoalCraft · 06/05/2020 06:58

Hello all, hope everyone's doing okay, really sorry for poofing; basically I got a new phone and couldn't remember my password 🙈 I finally figured out how to reset it though.

Some of you might remember a little while ago I said I thought I'd ovulated but had missed the window as DH was unwell. Well my period still hadn't showed up as of this morning, the previous one having started around 28th March. I only came off the pill end of Feb so put it down to irregular cycles from that, but I had some Tesco cheapies on hand so I thought... Why not just try? It's hardly a big expense to buy more.

Anyway the result is attached! I'm overjoyed and shaking with joy but also feel really naive and dumb... What do I do now? Call a midwife straight away? I'm clueless lol 🙈

@Etonmess20 yes I am holding off till aunt flo is late, I remember last cycle I started testing from 8dpo till 14dpo, gosh I went crazy over the results..so no more testing games for mGrin
@Kiza trying to be sane but staying away from symptom spotting is difficult although I don't have any symptoms except for sore boobs Hmm

Mamainmaking · 06/05/2020 07:06

@CoalCraft such a great news..many many congratulations Smile

Kiza · 06/05/2020 08:25

@CoalCraft congrats! Could ring your local epu or GP and they will book you in for a 12 week scan and until then just relax and enjoy 😊

@Annny27 @Spinningthewheel
hahaha most often it does, even after I've been laying there for 20 minutes! In a nutshell he has tons of super fast abnormal sperm!

@Mamainmaking me too, only have sore right boob which is usual for me anyway during the TWW.

MochaTea · 06/05/2020 09:11

@Kiza thanks so much. I have actually been trying for almost 2 years but just OPKS really, tried temping but that didn't work for me due to waking up at different times but didn't go as far as researching CP etc but will have a look.
I am at the end process of a miscarriage, waiting for the 3 week period to see if I have a negative test to start again.

Not sure who said about going the adoption route, but 12 months is too short to give up on trying, you never know. And 35 is still young, especially for a man!
We tried adopting a couple of years back but didn't have a good experience with our county. The person who got to be in charge of our case did not like us at all and found all the tiny things to complain about. I started a voluntary position which was agreed with them before I commenced and after 6 months they said that wasn't what they wanted. I was really pissed off with the treatment they gave us but I haven't given up on adoption but will try a different place or country. But as I am now 36 I will try for a baby first and in a couple of years go the adoption route again .

whatsthecraic91 · 06/05/2020 09:19

@CoalCraft congratulations!! We will be due date buddies as my last AF was 28th March too 😊xx

Etonmess20 · 06/05/2020 09:22

@Mamainmaking I bet you did drive yourself crazy, it's so difficult to hold off isn't it? I am quite good now at not testing actually, think because I've never had a BFP I can't take the disappointment so I wouldn't test until AF is late. Got my hopes up too many times ☹️

XjustagirlX · 06/05/2020 09:49

Hi everyone. Sorry I’ve been away for a bit. Things have been so hectic. Found out it was ectopic but also found out i needed to be furloughed.

Basically my hcg levels stayed the same over a couple of weeks (or do I was told) so I decided to wait and see if it would resolve on its own. Luckily it is doing. It has now reduced to around 10 so hopefully will have disappeared in the next few days. I’m glad I decided against the injection and surgery as my body has sorted it itself.

But shockingly when I made the decision to wait and see it was based on my results staying the same. But they had actually increased but the doctors read out the wrong results!!

Luckily it has irked out ok for me but it could have been really bad if it was still increasing and I chose to wait and see.

Mamainmaking · 06/05/2020 09:55

@Etonmess20 I agree with your approach, right now I am focusing on work and my health, I go running for 3km every other day and now my mom is like why are you running while ttcConfused

CoalCraft · 06/05/2020 09:59

Thanks for the congratulations everyone! Hadn't registered with a new gp after moving to a new area (oops!) so doing that as quick as I can so I can make an appointment with a midwife.

I don't really have any symptoms at all so far except slightly sore nipples and no spotting (which I would usually get constantly) - no cramps or nausea or anything and really I don't think I would notice the nipples if I wasn't looking out for them, so no / minor symptoms doesn't necessarily mean no bfp

@whatsthecraic91 High five! A huge congrats to you

@XjustagirlX I'm so sorry about your ectopic but really glad it is resolving by itself, hope you can get back to ttc quickly and soon have a lovely healthy pregnancy xx

Etonmess20 · 06/05/2020 10:21

@Mamainmaking it's so difficult though because you can't put your life on hold. I do HIIT workouts for 20 mins most days but if you don't exercise then surely that's just as unhealthy!
I do try not to drink too much (but that's weight wise as well as TTC)

SaraVB · 06/05/2020 10:31

Hi can I join too? seems like such a supportive group of ladies here. I'm 33 TTC first baby and this is only my 1st month trying. Expecting AF any day now.. should be by Friday at the latest.
I couldn't bear the curiosity anymore a couple of days ago and did a pregnancy test but it was definitely negative and since then I've been feeling some normal monthly symptoms.

I know it's only the first month so I shouldn't get discouraged but I am slightly worried that my age may make things more difficult (my best friend TTC her third child earlier this year and was told that it was not possible for her to have any more children).

lizzie198 · 06/05/2020 12:25

@SaraVB I've just joined everyone is really
Lovely.

In a similar situation 32 and TTC first.

I'm stupidly symptom spotting today and only 3dpo. Had an upset stomach this morning, very hungry though and had a little
Bit of discharge with what looked like dark blood in it.

Know it will be nothing but this is what the TWW does I had forgotten Confused

SaraVB · 06/05/2020 12:41

@lizzie198 I think it can't be helped. I was determined not to get carried away but now i'm constantly wondering about every little thing. The countdown to the AF due date is also making me slightly crazy!

how long have you been TTC? Is it possible to see symptoms from so early on? Really hoping you're successful this month!

lizzie198 · 06/05/2020 12:50

@SaraVB nope it's definitely not soon enough really unless possibly implantation but i doubt it and probably just wishful thinking.

This is our first cycle back. We were trying back end 2018/beginning 2019 but then we had a series of losses within the family and decided to have a break.

lizzie198 · 06/05/2020 12:51

That should have been too soon not soon enough lol

SaraVB · 06/05/2020 14:05

@lizzie198 oh I'm sorry to hear that...

you never know... seems completely unpredictable to me! Despite the negative test I'm still in complete denial until AF shows up. Hoping that i if I can manage expectations I won't be too disappointed when it does...
