Really crampy this evening so my excitement is over 😐 my body really does love to play tricks on me! Only going to test in the morning if my temp is still up. DP is all for it!

@Annny27 that's good to hear about that other lady, not only about her trying for 2 years but also the spotting as I know @orangeloo and I have this most months (sometimes about 10 days of spotting too!) sorry to hear about your BFN also, even though you weren't tracking this cycle it's still a bummer.
Although my hypnotherapist has now trained me to have affirmations when AF arrives, saying things like 'I'm grateful that my body is still menstruating and working perfectly for me to conceive'

@Lozzlepop what's the temp been like in Scotland? You're east Scotland aren't you? I'll be honest after 5 years up there I'm so excited for a good old hot English summer 🤞🏼🤞🏼

@kiza @orangeloo yes ever since my miscarriage I have been spotting for me than 4 days before AF......used to just be 1 and occasionally 2 days! Might try acupuncture when lockdown is over

@Annny27 aww thank you! I am planning my life out in my head at the minute - I need to put the brakes on for the next 8 weeks til I'm in the safe zone 😥

Out of curiosity what days did you DTD?
@Annny27 I'd definitely recommend Accupuncture for regulating periods and spotting, I'm definitely returning to it once lockdown is over.

@Anny27 how long is your luteal phase? Apparently we need 10 days at least of good progesterone levels/ no spotting to conceive.

@whatsthecraic91 ah I bet! Let yourself be excited though you've waited and worked hard for this.

Thats promising that you only DTD twice! @whatsthecraic91 yes what days did you dtd? And a new years baby will be lovely 😍

@orangeloo my luteul phase has been consistently 14 days but I had a temp drop this morning at 13dpo so I think this cycle is 12days! And I started spotting on day 10/11 whereas before I would never spot until 13dpo

@kiza do the needles hurt? Seems like a silly question really but is it just the initial sharp scratch that hurts

@Kiza we DTD 3 days & 1 day before OV that was it over the whole month of April! Work was so busy and I was working long days and stressed to the absolute max! Can't believe it 😆

@orangeloo I know but I need to be realistic too and calm myself 😂 but I am really enjoying planning out my maternity leave here 🤣🤣

@Annny27 yes fem is saying 5th Jan seems like so long away!!

@Annny27 I wouldn't worry, obviously the less spotting the better but as long as your getting your 10 days clear it shouldn't be hindering anything really.
I've had acupuncture the needles don't hurt. Only a bit sore when the first put it in knees or feet area I found. But if you don't like needles I wouldn't recommend.

@whatsthecraic91 I don't blame you 😂 mat leave will be amazing! And I think it will go quicker than you think.

How are you all doing?

I've been really busy with work, and I have been so close to killing my DH too 🤣 to be honest, we've had a few little rows one was when af was here, so I think it was mainly hormone related, but I won't tell him that 😂😂 cd13 for me today, and had a few ov pains but not temping or doing the strips at the moment, and probably won't for next cycle either!

I'm freezing today, so tempted to put the heating on 😂😂

@whatsthecraic91 we are all so excited for you 😍😍 is DP pleased? Yeah its crazy how you were wondering if you even ovulated this month haha!! And 16 cycles gives us all some hope 🥰🥰🥰

@lottiepink I have put the heating on haha! Can't be sat at home all cold when trying to work :p DH is testing my patience too as I am to him haha

@kiza @orangeloo So I called my GP today to discuss tests and things and she said that they won't do any tests until 2 years because we are young and healthy!!!!! That's crazy. I didn't actually say we had been trying for bang on a year I said we had been trying for over a year so perhaps if we haven't conceived in 6 months I can go back and tell a little fib and say its now been 2 years.

It seems crazy to me! But I know I ovulate and know we can conceive so perhaps its just a thing of waiting a bit longer and sending positive energy out to the world!

@orangeloo haha love it, we have been ok although DF is in a stinker of a mood today so I am staying out his way.

@Kiza its been like 14 degrees 😂so pretty warm for here! Yeah we are in Fife, when theres no wind our garden is a sun trap- I actually have a tan!

@Lottiepink oooh I'm just a couple of days behind you on cd11, really hoping my O is back to normal this month. Woke up yesterday with tons of ewcm-like literally tons, never had that much before so maybe my new fertility diet is helping 🤷🏼‍♀️. Get that heating turned on! It's proper cold today

@Annny27 that's gutting about a 2 year wait, yeah I fibbed and made out it was longer but that was mainly cos I was scared I'd miss the cut off for my age.
Another hopeful story is a friend of mine in Aberdeen is late 20's already has a 5 year old son and they had been trying for 3 years and finally pregnant again!

@Lozzlepop I remember getting excited and happy for 18 degrees in Aberdeen. Fife is so lovely too.
@whatsthecraic91 that's so hopeful to know you only DTD twice too. I'm going to try and take a leaf out of your ladies books and chill out this cycle

@Kiza I know it's annoying people saying to chill as it annoyed me too but it's actually the way forward, it was completely off my mind this month due to work. I actually had a crazy amount of EWCM this month so defo get to it now!!

I'm meeting my best friend on the way home in a local car park so I can tell her, I really want to see her reaction. She is the only person that knows about our struggle! We can social distance by sitting in our cars 😂

@Kiza thats good that told a fib about how long! I am thinking when the virus stuff has calmed down I will try get a face to face appointment with the GP and talk through it all!

@Annny27 ah that is annoying but like you say at least you know you conceived before so no reason why you couldn't again. Definitely no harm in telling a little fib when the time comes.

So I'm not sure I put it in this thread. I'm on a thread all about spotting and put it on there. I managed to get some proov tests sent to my OH when he was working abroad before lockdown. They are American and can't ship to U.K. they test progesterone. You test 7,8,9 & 10 dpo to give you a better picture of healthy ovulation/ progesterone levels. Mine was negative for adequate progesterone levels from 8DPO which coincided with my spotting that started 8DPO. Which is what I've long suspected and even suggested to gp and gynae and they rubbished my theory. As my progesterone tests 7days after Ov have always been fine. However I now have the proof that after this is falls too much too quickly. I'm going to seek a private consultation and want to try progesterone supplements first if they don't work then I guess it will be some ovulation strengthening drug. Sorry for the long post and this won't be of interest to a lot of you but anyone who spots regularly before 10DPo may be of interest. If you know anyone in a country they do deliver to they could then send the. Onto you. X

@orangeloo oh that's really interesting! That's mixed news I guess - good that you have solidified your theory but also rubbish that it is the case and doubly rubbish that the GP didn't want to consider it!

I will have a look into it if we are unsuccessful in the next few months. I have friends who live in the US so perhaps I could order to them and get them to forward onto me!
