@Anny27 @Kiza @Lozzlepop you all sound like you are part way there with the plastic and non toxic then. I'm not sadly, I love my cleaning products. I'm going to order some glassware food containers and new steel water bottle though. I know my DP will think I've lost the plot haha.

@Anny27 I know what you mean I never thought this would be me either, we've said it before but it was so drilled into us about getting pregnant by accident you never dream you'll have to try this hard when you do want it.

@Kiza that specialist acupuncturist sounds definitely worth a shot!

whatsthecraic91 · 20/04/2020 19:49

Hey ladies 👋🏼 weather is absolutely amazing & has helped my mood so much! I haven't felt this upbeat and happy since before TTC 😇 bought a mountain bike yesterday so been scooting about on it as work has finally calmed so I can now enjoy the evenings 🙂

@Annny27 I have no idea, I'll prob wait for AF unless I get some obvious symptoms I'm just like 🤷🏼‍♀️ at the minute. How are you?

Ps why does my chart do this every other month? One month I have a text book normal ovulation chart then the next month I have this annoying one changing my ovulation date about 4 times before it finally decides? Anyone any ideas?

Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well.
I posted a few weeks ago about some tests we were having. We have now been trying for a year with no success.
I had a day 2 and a day 21 test, I found out they had messed up my day 21 test but my day 2 came back normal. I was supposed to have a scan, my DH a SA but obviously they have been cancelled for the time being - completely understandable !
One thing the doctor did say though was that we both need to be within our healthy BMI to be referred for fertility treatment. I am just outside "healthy" I need to lose half a stone ish which is totally doable but I wondered if others were aware of this?

Also two friends have today told me today they are pregnant. Neither tried for long. I feel bad even saying this but I felt sad/ jealous/ but also so happy for them! Obviously I would never let on to them how I was feeling other than joy as I wouldn't want to take away from their happiness at all. And overall I am happy for them, just feeling a tad sad to myself. Does anyone else get like that?

CoalCraft · 21/04/2020 08:14

Hi all, sorry I've been quiet, just haven't had much news and been a bit busy with everything going on. Really hope everyone's doing okay.

I haven't been tracking but I think I ovulated either on Saturday or yesterday - had some signs like bloating, sore head and cm. Unfortunately weren't able to DTD straight away as dh was feeling poorly, but we did this morning at what I think was day 1 or 2 dpo, are we still in with a chance this month? Previous DTD before was Wednesday.

Lots of good wishes to all xx

orangeloo · 21/04/2020 13:42

@mrsbttc completely understandable you feel that way. I'm sure we can all relate. Do your friends know you are ttc?

I was aware of weight, is it just that you have to be in the normal range bmi that is the requirement? Luckily that's one issue I don't have. I will double check my DP now though he's carrying a extra stone or two 😬 haha.

@CoalCraft I think you may be in with a chance one dpo. I think they say the most an egg will survive is 24hrs. FX

rathernotshare · 21/04/2020 19:02

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing well Smile quick question. First cycle after stopping the pill I.e after first proper period, did you ovulate?

mrsbttc · 21/04/2020 20:27

@orangeloo one friend did know but the other doesn't.
My friend who did know actually said she felt nervous to tell me which made me feel awful!

Oh I had thought it was just me that needed to be in healthy BMI Confused just told DH he has a stone to loose ! Haha!

Hope you are all ok x

XjustagirlX · 21/04/2020 22:57

So I had a scan and they are pretty sure it’s ectopic. Hcg levels have stayed at 175 since the last 10 days.

I have been given 3 options.

  1. Wait and see if the hcg reduces on its own with regular blood tests.
  2. Injection to stop any growth. This means we can’t TTC for 3 months and it reduces my immune system.
  3. Surgery to remove the tube.

I’m thinking of having the injection but I’m worried that it could disappear on it’s own but then I have a risk of potential rupture if I do nothing.

Annny27 · 22/04/2020 09:16

Morning everyone :) period due in 7/8 days so starting to get twitchy now....last week of tww is always the worst haha!

@XjustagirlX so sorry that it is ectopic :( that's a really realty tough position. Not sure what option I would pick tbh! I think Injection would be best option long term but obviously does mean 3 months not ttc. On the miscarriage board there is a lot of ectopic support

@whatsthecraic91 ah your chart is difficult to interpret this month. Really tricky :S do you think you have ovulated?

@kiza oh you used to be vegan didn't you? Must be strange reintroducing animal products

@coalcraft you might have missed it this month but there's always a small possibility 🤞

@orangeloo I have glassware tupperware and I like them much better. They don't stain like plastic (I.e with a tomato sauce) and they look so much better

MochaTea · 22/04/2020 09:29

hi ladies,

I would like to join this thread Smile

I am going through the process of my first miscarriage at 10 weeks. It happened last Sunday/Monday and yesterday we went for the scan that confirmed it. I know I need to wait 3 weeks to test again etc. but I am remaining hopeful I'll be able to conceive soon as I see lots of women who were able to conceive a few months after a miscarriage.

I am 36 and we have been trying for 1.5 years and got the BFP the day after we had our first IVF consultation, which was a shock.
I did 3 cycles of clomid via the NHS with no success and got pregnant a week after my HSG x-ray.
I was doing acupuncture at the time so I credit these two with being able to finally get pregnant naturally.

Where I live they do not offer any IVF cycles past 35 years so I know that if I don't conceive naturally in the next 6 months I'll have to pay for treatment.

Hope to find some comfort with all of you through this difficult journey.

whatsthecraic91 · 22/04/2020 17:22

@XjustagirlX so sorry to hear it turned out ectopic hope you're okay 😘 it's hard to know what to do, I think if it was me I would go for the injection and take a TTC break. A friend of mine had an ectopic last year and lost her tube and she conceived again naturally 6 months later.

@Annny27 same here I am 7DPO today so I will start symptom spotting even tho I tell myself every month I won't 🙄 really constipated today but of course it can't be a symptom as it's way too early 😆 nothing else to report! Have you any? My AF is due on 28th! Yea I'm pretty sure I did ovulate because Easter Monday and Tuesday I remember having loads of EWCM like crazy amounts which wasn't normal for me. Don't know why my temp took so long to rise 😐

@MochaTea so sorry about your MC. Welcome there is a lot of support on here we are a great bunch x

NatJayne87 · 22/04/2020 18:54

Hi everyone, i would like to join this tread please 😁 i am 32 and have been off contraception for 3 months, today is ovulation but dont think OH is in the mood for DTD today but we shall see! Although we are trying to concieve our first baby, i am actually a step mommy to a 21 month old little boy, which is lovely but i do burn even more now for a biological baby too! Good luck all with your fertility journeys x

Hopefulmummie · 23/04/2020 07:55

So I caved and took a test this morning.. BFN :(

whatsthecraic91 · 23/04/2020 08:46

@NatJayne87 welcome! I am also a stepmum to a 6 year old boy and I am absolutely dying for one of my own! It's so hard isn't it! Did you manage to DTD?

NatJayne87 · 23/04/2020 09:07

@whatsthecraic91 Unfortunately we did not! So thats another month gone, which is sad because it feels so wasted but now its passed i can just keep working on me and redirect my focus. It will happen when it happens i guess, though i have till about 5 today i reckon for a 24 hour egg, i might try and pounce when little man has gone home haha the advantage of lockdown atm! X

Annny27 · 23/04/2020 09:11

Morning :) absolutely no symptoms here haha. I cant even make them up 🤣 my boobs aren't sore and don't feel big

@whatsthecraic91 sometimes temps can be slow rising after ovulation just depends on how fast progesterone rises :)

@hopefulmummie what dpo are you?

@MochaTea welcome :) sorry to hear about your loss 💗 I had a miscarriage at 11.5 weeks in November and have been ttc since. Hopefully it will happen quickly for you

Hopefulmummie · 23/04/2020 09:22

@Anny27 13dpo and af due tomorrow

MochaTea · 23/04/2020 09:29

hey @NatJayne87 ovulation day is just one of many days you can try, so definitely try today or tomorrow or a few more days afterward. we never know!

@Annny27 thanks, I hope it happens for all of us. I was trying to conceive for so long, so I know it's easier said than done.

whatsthecraic91 · 23/04/2020 11:58

@NatJayne87 well if you have done it in the last week there's still I chance!

@Annny27 it's been rising nicely so I'm praying it keeps rising 😊 I have zero symptoms at all 👎🏼 I think I'll hold off on testing so I can have a beer with my bbq on Saturday 🍺😂

RSM26 · 23/04/2020 12:09

Hi, can I join please?
First time TTC, currently on CD28 but AF hasn’t shown yet. I’ve had really interesting symptoms but tried not to symptom spot. Took a HPT at 11dpo and thought I saw a very faint line, and I’ve taken one this morning and got a BFN!! My cycles are always regular.. maybe late ovulation? Confused

Hopefulmummie · 23/04/2020 12:49

Does anyone have any experience with conception vitamins. Are they worth taking?

Mamainmaking · 23/04/2020 23:27

Hey lovely ladies, new member here, I am on cycle no 3 trying for baby no 1, kinda depressed already since I thought it would just happen very easily since I got pregnant once accidentally but had to abort it as we were not ready at the time and now when I am desperately waiting for it to happen its just not happening:(

Kiza · 24/04/2020 10:08

Morning ladies,
Sorry for being MIA, really busy week with work so booked today off as was super tired and needed some me time. Going to try and enjoy the sun in the garden before all the rain comes next week!
Welcome to all the newbies, great group of women on here.

@XjustagirlX so sorry to hear of your ectopic, I've not had any experience of that so unfortunately I don't know what best to advise. Maybe look on other threads to see the experiences of some other women?

Cycle 20 for us, hopefully ovulation returns to normal this cycle and it'll be sometime end of next week. I've not stuck to my daily fertility smoothie this week just due to being so busy with work and need to find some cheaper royal jelly cos man that stuff is expensive!

orangeloo · 24/04/2020 10:17

@XjustagirlX so sorry to hear it's ectopic. What option have you gone for? Hope your doing as okay as can be x

@mrsbttc I did a quick google on the male needing to have normal bmi and just found that some ccg's do stipulate males too which is unfair as it has no bearing on treatment success. I think couples with fertility issues have enough problems without another unnecessary hurdle. So you may want to double check but I'm not sure how you'd go about that.

Welcome all the newbies, you've found a good thread.

@Anny27 last week of tww is THE worst!! How are you getting on?

@MochaTea welcome and so sorry to hear of your miscarriage. Thank you so much for sharing though. I have been ttc 16 months so seeing stories of conceiving after a long while of trying gives me much needed hope. I hope you're doing okay and get a BFP and rainbow baby when you are ready. X
