@Annny27 were yous not trying at all this month or just trying but not trying? Did you avoid FW?

@Lottiepink I think the weather is helping everyone's mood too which is fab ☀️ sorry about AF but as you say everyone is just like 🤷🏼‍♀️ at the minute. Yes have a wine or a beer in that great weather!! DP had a bbq and a beer waiting for me when I got home from work 😀🍺

@Lozzlepop I'm still in the office full time 🙋🏼‍♀️ our whole workplace hasn't changed really except for social distancing & hygiene etc. We are part of the food chain so are classed as essential & we are so busy too which is great 👍🏼 I feel bad for furloughed people as there is so much uncertainty, I feel very lucky.

@Jadey31 welcome! Been there 🙈 you go through the woman possessed phase then the longer it goes you're just like 🤷🏼‍♀️ well I'm my experience anyway! Ooo sounds good get testing and let us know!!

@Kiza Defo argue it, everyone's will be pushed back due to the current situation and you would be going ahead otherwise so I really wouldn't like to think they can say no! Maybe they will extend the age limit for a year or 2 for people that are actually referred until they are caught up. They just have to.

Done my chlamydia test there before I hopped in the shower so I will get it posted away in the morning! I know it will be clear but you always have the fear in the back of your mind 😂😂

Annny27 · 16/04/2020 08:19

Morning girls:) 1dpo for me today so into the tww!

@whatsthecraic91 we were basically not preventing not trying this month so did when we wanted which averaged every 3 days so still a chance of being pregnant I guess but I needed a bit of a break from the obsessive ttc! Haha I know what you mean with your test results, I had to have some after my miscarriage and even though I have been with my DH since we were teenagers so no chance of a positive result I was still relieved to see the negative haha

@kiza hopefully the NHS is a little understanding and extends the age cut off or atheist prioritises women closer to the age cut off when it all reopens which I think may be Julytime so there is still hope 🤞

@Jadey31 the positive opk makes me think you are pregnant - test :D

@Lozzlepop that's good for your mental health that you are enjoying this break. 2019 must have been super hard for you so its nice for a year of no expectations

@Lottiepink we were due to start seeing the GP as ita almost been a year trying but we will have to put that off atm now

Jadey31 · 16/04/2020 08:40

Hi ladies. Thank you for replying 😍❤️ I took a test this morning and it was a BFP! It says 2-3 weeks however when I do the NHS check it says 5 weeks?!

Annny27 · 16/04/2020 08:42

@Jadey31 congrats :) your test measures your week's from conception so 2-3 weeks would equal 5 weeks pregnant

Hopefulmummie · 16/04/2020 08:57

Hi I'm new here hope you don't mind me joining.
We are TTC our 1st baby. I got my coil out last July and no positives yet though had relaxed on the trying since December but now we're back.
7DPO and I've had a few twinges. I've also been very emotional the last couple of days not sure if this means something

orangeloo · 16/04/2020 09:11

@Annny27 I'm cd13 dont hold out much hope this month as I had an awful thyroid result back yesterday 🙄. Glad you are enjoying being a bit more relaxed.

@Kiza I really think they would still allow your referral that would be so incredibly harsh if they didn't.

I'm about to do the dreaded weekly shop. I'm putting off but best go get In That queue.

MrsEmilyB · 16/04/2020 10:53

@Lily501 - that's amazing!! Congratulations. Sorry I'm late - just catching up!

@hopefulmammie - welcome! I'm 9dpo and we are trying for our first too. Fingers crossed for us. I'm feeling super anxious and emotional today. I had some ovulation type pains at 7dpo (which are still intermittent and very light) and very mild spotting yesterday at 8dpo so who knows? I never spot between periods or cramp really, so I'm hoping it's positive.

Does anyone know about implantation dips on bbt charts? I had a dip at 7dpo, raised at 8dpo and then somewhere in the middle today. Maybe I'm just reading into it all too much. I've attached my chart.

I've got a FRER. When should I do it?! AF is due Monday so I was thinking Saturday or Sunday?

Sorry for all the questions. It's our first cycle.

MrsEmilyB · 16/04/2020 10:53

Sorry, forgot to add photo of bbt chart!

TTC first baby thread 24
Kiza · 16/04/2020 19:21

@MrsEmilyB sorry I don't temp so any advice from me would be useless 😆 try and hold out until 1 day missed period (although I've tested early a number of times!)

@orangeloo what was your thyroid result? Sorry I couldn't remember you being tested for it.
@Anny27 welcome to your favourite time again 😁

whatsthecraic91 · 16/04/2020 19:51

@Annny27 I see, well stranger things have happened so this could be the month! 🙌🏼 posted my test off this morning so I should know within a week 😅

@Jadey31 congratulations 🥳

@orangeloo the ques are mental, I've found going to a local eurospar or centra are quieter you just walk straight in & I have definitely saved money, too much temptation and choice at the big Tesco's etc!

@MrsEmilyB my chart does mad things like that so I wouldn't take too much notice 😊 defo try and wait to AF is due!

Hopefulmummie · 16/04/2020 20:19

Does anyone know what an implantion pain feels like? I had a more more twinges today mainly on the right hand side

orangeloo · 17/04/2020 09:14

@kiza it was 6.84 the highest I've ever had. They put my medication down two months ago as it swung into overactive 0.06 and I've been everywhere in between so frustrating. Just want it at a level below 2 and stable.

Kiza · 17/04/2020 11:20

@orangeloo oh man that's sound so frustrating to have to at both ends. I'm assuming it's trial and error over a period of time to get the right dosage?

1989titch · 17/04/2020 13:49

Hi all, I’m on my 7th cycle of trying to conceive and I need some advice on my current period. So I spotted for 4 days which is unlike my normal period which is a max of 2 days spotting then I come on my period. After the 4 days of spotting I then started to bleed but it was like nothing I ahem experienced before, LOTS of blood clots, like loads in the toilet and when I pull out my tampon, sorry TMI. I’m wondering if this a very early miscarriage and wondering if anyone else has had this. My previous period was fine I had no spotting before and lasted around 5 days . Just to add that the spotting started 7dpo and my last period started on 10dpo. Does this sound like a miscarriage?

Lozzlepop · 17/04/2020 16:46

Hi ladies, Happy Friday!!

@Jadey31 congratulations!

@Lottiepink just trying to keep myself busy each day, not so bad when its the "weekend days" and the OH isn't working, but otherwise snacking has become my new hobby along with baking lol! Yes I think as difficult as this all is we need to remember ultimately that its peoples health and thats the most important thing right now ❤️

@Kiza trying to make it as bearable as possible in the hopes that I have a job to go back to, would not be a great time to be loosing my job thats for sure. I would deffo try and argue your case, you won't know if you don't ask and no harm trying in my opinion. Oh really, I wasn't aware of the hidden extras- thats annoying!

@whatsthecraic91 thats great you are still working and busy, the days must go nice and quickly! There is so much uncertainty, feeling completely out the loop considering I'm part of the head office team. Hoping we get some form of update from our boss soon. Haha I hate that, I always get the fear after my smear too - so silly!

@Anny27 yes 2019 was a tough year, 2020 was looking great until Covid-19 appeared but...I know we will all come out of this appreciating the little things so much more!

@1989titch have you recently come off the pill and could be taking a while for your cycle to readjust? If you do think its a miscarriage I would stop using tampons as you are at higher risk of an infection using them.

Anyone have any fun weekend isolation plans?

orangeloo · 17/04/2020 16:55

@kiza yes it is complete trial and error. Some of it has been unknowingly my fault. So many things interfere with thyroid supplements even the smallest innocent things in herbal tea etc so in my ttc quest I have mistakenly made things go up and down even more. I now research anything and everything against thyroid before I take it.

Kiza · 18/04/2020 08:50

AF was 2 days late, my cervix was soft and high on Thursday, was feeling nauseous yesterday and had convinced myself this was our turn. But alas woke up at 3am with full AF! On to cycle 20

@orangeloo yeah I've heard that so many things can innocently affect your thyroid. Hope you manage to get it settled.
@1989titch one thing I noticed on this journey is how weird my periods are which I'd never noticed before (obviously because we weren't paying so much attention to them before). I never used to think I spotted much prior to TTC but not realise I have some months where I spot, some I don't, and some months I have lots of clots and some I don't.

How's everyone's weekend? I'm struggling today and desperately want to go clothes shopping, then a nice lunch, then to dunelm for some houses bits.

whatsthecraic91 · 18/04/2020 09:00

@Kiza so sorry about AF hope you're okay x
The day you want to have sounds amazing, I can't wait to this lockdown is over. I will never take nipping to the shops or out for lunch for granted after this! Can't even get a takeaway!!

Femometer has changed my ovulation date again so I am now 4DPO AF due 27th. Going to do some gardening today and make a Sunday roast even tho it's Saturday as DSS goes home tonight and it's his favourite 🥰 hope everyone has a great weekend

orangeloo · 18/04/2020 11:22

@Kiza sorry about AF yeah I could do with that day too. Would love it. I've been managing quite well but I'm furloughed so when the weekend comes it is annoying that it's no different to the week and you can't do anything else other than go for a walk.

On a separate note I've started reading. 'It starts with the egg' Has anyone else read this? It's very informative but quite heavy going.

LAG1986 · 19/04/2020 23:21

Hi. I'm currently on month 3 of trying for child number 3. Fell unexpectedly with number 1, first month trying number 2. This week I was due to ovulate. Dtd. Am now around 4-5 days after ovulation and have mild period type cramps. Might this be a positive sign. Never had this before.

Annny27 · 20/04/2020 10:14

Morning :) 5dpoish and I wasn't tracking to I can't 100% be sure of my dpo but I think that's what I am.

@Kiza sorry that AF arrived late! That must have been gutting to have that glimmer of hope :( bodies are cruel!

@orangeloo i have heard of it but not read it! Would you recommend?

@whatsthecraic91 ooh will you test early or wait for AF? Sunday roast sounds amazing!!

@Lozzlepop we didn't have any cool isolation plans just went on a walk and watched a few films. Very boring haha. You?

@validuser yes I was thinking that your cycle may have been cancelled 💗

@LAG1986 best of luck with ttc number 3 🤞🤞 this thread is for ttc baby number 1 so you might feel out of place on here. Hope this is your month though :)

orangeloo · 20/04/2020 11:03

@Annny27 fingers crossed for you! that first week after ovulation is my favourite time in The cycle I think because you can just relax, you're not in pain or bleeding and there is nothing more you can do. Just hope and almost forget about ttc a bit.

Well I'm only about 20% of the way through I would say I do recommend it but mainly to IVF ers, people with recurring miscarriage, unexplained fertility or have been trying over a year/ those over 35- and only if you can take the real science in depth talk. I already feel the need to throw out all plastic and never wear perfume again 🙈. So yeah it's good but it's heavy going and a lot to take in.

Annny27 · 20/04/2020 11:19

@orangeloo I don't wear perfume or scented products anyway (excema) and I am a bit of an eco-nut in terms of plastic so hopefully it wouldn't be too much of a change haha! We are approaching the year mark and have had one miscarriage. Never thought that would be me!!!!

Lozzlepop · 20/04/2020 12:35

Afternoon ladies!

It has been absolutely glorious here the past few days, it’s only 12 degrees but my garden is a sun trap so I am currently sat in my shorts (in Scotland) soaking up some sun- feeling very thankful for my garden right now.
AF arrived yesterday and is currently killing me but I forced myself to do a little exercise earlier.

@Kiza I know what you mean, I am longing to do the things I don’t Even do that much like go for a coffee and cake or cocktails after work. I’ve ordered a clothesline from Amazon as I’m sick of my clothes horses blowing over in the wind 😂

@Anny27 not much really, we done a quiz with friends on Saturday night and just chilled and been doing some bits in the garden when we can.

@orangeloo Urgh I fit into most of those categories 😂😂 I’ve not worn make up or perfume in weeks and who knows the last time the straighteners came out 😬

Kiza · 20/04/2020 12:58

@orangeloo I fit into all those groups!! I'll look on the internet for a 2nd hand copy! Tbh I also don't put toxic chemicals on my skin or clean with them, unprocessed diet etc but would be interested to see if there's more I can do!
Yeah can't imagine how difficult it must be at times not working right now.

@whatsthecraic91 @Lozzlepop both your weekends sounded lovely 😊
Doing pretty well with my new 'fertility diet' of high protein and good fats, just a real mental adjustment to eat eggs and fish again and if I think about it too hard I gross myself out.

Have just found a specialist fertility acupuncturist in south Birmingham so will be booking with him when lockdown is lifted as he seems almost certain to have posit outcomes.
