Morning! 11dpo, tested and stark white bfn :( no sore boobs atall and no symptoms whatsoever so that's me out for this month :/

I am not sure what we will do next month whether we will carry on ttc with all that's going on at the moment! Will have to have a chat with DH

@Lozzlepop sorry your appointment has been cancelled but I guess you kinda expected it. Yep we have been wfh for over a week now - I cant believe some companies havent acted quicker!

@kiza 🤞🤞🤞 that you conceive naturally before October or that your ivf with nhs can start before then

@whatsthecraic91 ahhh sore nipples sounds good! When will you test?

@CoalCraft are you using OPKs or temping etc etc?

CoalCraft · 25/03/2020 12:11

@Annny27 No, not yet, told myself I'd wait for a few natural periods so it'd be easier to make sense of the info and so as to not let myself stress too much. It is tempting though!

XjustagirlX · 25/03/2020 13:44

AF has finished now for me. I think this month I am just going to have sex every other day (easier now we are both wfh). I’m not going to temp. I am still going to do my ovulation tests but because I’m at home I am going to do them more frequently so we hopefully hit the optimum time to DTD. My hospital appointment is booked in for 8th April so I hope it doesn’t get cancelled.

XjustagirlX · 25/03/2020 17:57

My DH SA was sent to us. Now we were told this is “normal”.
Volume 2.7
Count 47m/ml
Viability 88%
Morphology 6%
Abnormalities heads
Motility 39%

The motility and morphology seems far too low to be normal. What do you think?

Kiza · 25/03/2020 18:44

@XjustagirlX
Hi, we had an in-depth chat with our consultant about SA on Monday. She informed me the average is:
Count: 15ml or above
Motility: 32% or above
Morphology: between 4-14%

Therefore according to the nhs averages he's within range. All of the above though can be improved with lifestyle changes. My DP count shot up from 108ml to 243million and his motility shot up to 79% following lifestyle changes. His morphology remained the same at 1% but due to him having a shedload or fast semen she said it's all good.

Kiza · 25/03/2020 18:52

Boy what a full on week already, our boss is refusing to let us wfh! All our patient contact has switched to phone or video call so no idea why he's putting us all at risk!
Think I'm going to O late again this month as on cd16 already and no peak yet or much ewcm 🤷🏼‍♀️

@Annny27 still got a while to go yet 🤞🏼

@whatsthecraic91 im guessing they're not usual AF symptoms for you? Know what you mean as I've had similar thoughts, scary times for sure.

@Lozzlepop so frustrating for you but as you said it's completely understandable right now with so many staff being redeployed elsewhere and wanting to reduce people in the hospital. I was told I can't have any more bloods for about 3 months due to the lockdown.

@Narwhal88 thanks for the heads up about that company.

XjustagirlX · 25/03/2020 20:39

Thanks @kiza what were the lifestyle changes he made? My DH doesn’t smoke and isn’t overweight so it’s hard to see what drastic changes he can make.

Kiza · 25/03/2020 20:50

@XjustagirlX mine too however he completely stopped all caffeine and alcohol, wore loose boxers, stopped putting his laptop on his lap, took a load of supplements such as lycopene, zinc, vit E, coQ10, Ashwaghanda and it seemed to help.
We are also vegan and cook most things from scratch and workout 4-5 times/week so I do wonder if that helps also?

Lozzlepop · 26/03/2020 16:19

Hi ladies,

How are we all doing?

@CoalCraft I know- its not even like it was a short commute it was over an hour each way. The company is struggling now so theres something else to worry about. How did the move go? How often are you having to go into work? Is that likely to change?

@whatsthecraic91 thats good you are still busy, everything here has dried up and I have no idea what I am meant to be doing with my days lol! How are your nips?

@Anny27 sorry to hear it was a BFN, I know what you mean its an uncertain time, just do whatever you feel comfortable with ❤️Yeah we were very slow to react- I can see that our boss was trying to continue to provide everything with a service so I do understand his reasonings. Just glad to be home and safe although weirdly missing my commute- can't wait to be properly allowed out the house haha! Was expecting my appointment to be cancelled but would be over the moon if my bloods still go ahead in 2 weeks time 🤞🏻

@XjustagirlX how did you get the results sent to you, was this something you requested?

@Kiza wow thats a lot of sperms 😂🙈Oh really? Thats not great, did they say why 3 months? My nurse said if they move hospitals she can still do it and tbh its a 5 minute drive up the road so would be a lot easier so I am remaining hopeful!

Factualmistakes · 26/03/2020 18:29

Hope everyone is ok today.

So I tested this morning and it was a BFN but there has still been no AF. Unless this month it has decided to disguise itself as a whole load of spotting. Now 4 days late and I have never had a cycle this long so who knows what is going on.

CoalCraft · 27/03/2020 06:46

@Lozzlepop It went well, thank you! Few delays but it all worked out. We were lucky given the circumstances. Am now allowed to wfh some days, roughly two days a week. Whether that changes pretty much depends on if the government make another announcement that basically means I can't. When I do go in though there's only like 5 of us on a floor that normally holds 40 and we're well spaced so I feel reasonably safe.

@Factualmistakes Sorry about the bfn, sounds like a confusing and frustrating scenario :(

Has anyone ever had dry skin as a symptom of coming off hormonal BC or as part of their cycle? I never usually have dry skin but a few days ago my hands suddenly got really dry and even started to crack, but now they're all better again - very odd!

Though of course it could be something unrelated. Can't think of any new products I've been in contact with but I guess you never know.

XjustagirlX · 27/03/2020 10:09

@Kiza he has now fully stopped drinking coffee and alcohol. Now we are both wfh he isn’t actually wearing any boxers anymore just loose joggers. We already make most food from scratch and he takes the pregnacare vitamins. I think the main one we will try and do is more exercise and he has stopped baths completely. It’s very frustrating that for months I have been asking him not to drink alcohol or have hot baths and he has only just realised the importance of it.

@Lozzlepop basically after our go results were “normal”. We waiting a couple of months and still nothing so my go referred me to the hospital for further tests. As my DH has a doctor in a different area we needed a copy of his SA to take to the hospital so we had to request it from the GP.

Unfortunately our fertility appointment with the hospital has now been cancelled. We are thinking of phoning up a private clinic as they are doing phone appointments.

Lozzlepop · 27/03/2020 16:11

Hi ladies!

Happy Friday, although the days all seem to be merging into one at the minute.

@Factualmistakes sorry to hear it was a BFN, thats annoying- has anything happened this month that may have delayed AF? Any stresses aside from coping with a pandemic? 🙈

@CoalCraft thats good, moving house is stressful enough as it is, without any unnecessary delays. Thats good you have some wfh days, sound like you will be socially distanced enough when you do go in too. I found my hands were really dry from all the extra handwashing and the sun under my engagement ring was all starting to peel. Since I have been home and not going out and having to handwash less it seems better.

@XjustagirlX ah ok, thanks for letting me know. How long would you have to wait to get a private appointment? I am surprised they are not offering them to be honest as the hospital was cancelling everything "non essential" that involved face to face interactions. Did you ask for a phone consultation?

ToCaden · 27/03/2020 17:48

Not allowed to work from home here either. 1.5hr usual commute to work. All my work is based on the computer.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 27/03/2020 18:49

Can I join in? We have not long started trying so not properly organised with cycles and things but I’ve just got the flo app to try and get a bit more of a clue. We are currently just DTD every other day

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 27/03/2020 18:53

Actually ignore me. Just read the thread title and it’s not my first Blush as you were Grin

whatsthecraic91 · 27/03/2020 20:30

@Annny27 hey how are you? Have you tested again or has the witch arrived yet?

@Lozzlepop my nips aren't really sore anymore ☹️

11DPO today. I fainted at work today and had to be sent home I've been in bed ever since. Extremely dizzy and feel like complete shit. I'll don't know when to test. It might not even be related, I've worked 70 hours this week so it could be complete exhaustion 😥. Have had wee bits of pink spotting since yesterday so maybe AF is on her way.

@CoalCraft could be the washing and hand sanitiser my hands are cracked and sore from using it, my skin is peeling off around my nails 😢 I've been slathering in body butter and putting gloves on to bed each night it really helps.

Kiza · 28/03/2020 08:08

@Fueledwithfairydustandgin 'as you were' 😆

@Lozzlepop she said 3 months as no tests are being done our way. Both the 2 hospitals in Birmingham are inundated with Covid patients and they are closing off some departments to help make room.
@XjustagirlX yeah it wasn't until my DP got his results that he started taking it more seriously. Sounds like the wfh will be really good for his lifestyle changes.
@ToCaden have they offered to give you a laptop to wfh? Our staff team have pushed back majority to our manager and I anonymously reported him to our local public health department as he's putting us all at risk unnecessarily.

@whatsthecraic91 oh no! 70hours?! Boy on top of the stress of work at the moment as well. Are you managing to eat well and take breaks or is it really full on?
CD 19 for me and still not reached peak for O again, 2 months in the row now after the HSG. I wonder if I've missed it this month? But I've had not had much ewcm nor felt the usually horniness this month so it's a bit weird 🤷🏼‍♀️

Annny27 · 28/03/2020 10:18

Morning - 14dpo and bfn so waiting for AF to arrive now. My temps are still high so I imagine she will arrive tomorrow at 15dpo 🙄

We have decided to take a month break from ttc because of coronavirus - our local EPU has stopped seeing patients apart from ectopic and have also stopped miscarriage surgery. I needed a lot of care last pregnancy and so it makes sense for me to wait a month and reevaluate the situation after that. Feels rubbish to skip a month but hopefully wont make too much of an impact.

@whatsthecraic91 ooh it could be exhaustion or could be early pregnant ditzyness! Why not take a test 🤞🤞

@kiza sounds like another delayed ovulation then - perhaps the stress of everything going on has caused a delay?

@Lozzlepop yep I know what you mean I am feeling super anxious about the whole situation

@ToCaden hope they let you wfh soon :(

@CoalCraft my hands are super dry from all the extra handwashing so could be same for tou

PeggyToo · 28/03/2020 10:51

Hello! New here, not up on the acronyms yet, 18mths trying, slightly tearing hair out.

Got a Clearblue Fertility Monitor from eBay as they're supposed to last, yet have been testing and got two positive tests high fertility, all the rest have been errors!

I did spot some Clearblue Fertility threads but they all seemed ancient! Apologies if I've missed it. Smile

ToCaden · 28/03/2020 11:43

Thanks guys. And nope. We asked directly last week and it was a flat no to wfh. Some of the higher ranks had laptops prior to the virus so are able to, but none of us main office staff.

I use public transport as well so it is a worry. And our office has always been a germ central due to staff being penalised for being sick (which I'm hoping won't continue).

We've never been given a good reason as to why we can't wfh. In the past it's been down to managers with old fashioned thinking, and possibly our branch of the government (I actually work for the government who's giving all this advice they're not following themselves!) not wanting to spend out on laptops.

It's also distressing as so many of the staff are disabled with risk factors so are sensibly isolating at home and are still not given the resources to continue their work.

We work on UC and are understaffed at the best of times so not nice being unable to do a good job when the solution is so obvious.

@Kiza that's a good idea. I'll see if there's somewhere I can report it to.

@whatsthecraic91 poor you. Please make sure to rest as much as possible. There is no such thing as too much sleep when you're unwell.

@peggytoo hello there. Welcome. Can't help you with the clear blue as I haven't used them, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to give some advice.

Annny27 · 28/03/2020 12:02

Thats made me angry to know some employers dont care :( are you an essential service that it's required to be in the office? @tocaden?

I am a keyworker but can do my job at home so my company have said ofcourse be at home. Frustrates me that other companies wont :(

ToCaden · 28/03/2020 12:31

@Anny27 I'm a essential worker (work for the DWP doing admin on UC cases), but it's all on the computer so if provided with an encrypted laptop would be able to do my role from home.

There are a few line managers who had laptops prior to the virus. They were able to work from home and need to access most of the same programs the main admin staff do. None of the main admin staff are allowed to wfh.

When we asked last week there were no laptops on order for us, and only a few laptops on order for the whole of the county which automatically go to higher grades.

Hoping it'll have changed when I go back monday. But considering staff have pushed for home working years prior to this (lots of disabled members of staff) I don't have much hope.

Kiza · 28/03/2020 14:03

@ToCaden it's so unfair isn't it? I work for the NHS and like you said these organisations are the ones giving out the advice but not always following it.
We have laptops and phones and all our therapy has been switched to video/telephone so no reason why a skeleton team can't be in as opposed to 40 of us! We used to wfh before all this but now he's said no with no justifiable reason?!
Some of our staff also use public transport and have said it's so busy due to reduced timetables. So unfair. I can understand why @Annny27 have decided to have a months break

whatsthecraic91 · 28/03/2020 15:48

@Kiza I know it's mental I'm stressed to the absolute max so I reckon it's to do with that. I will test in the morning anyway as I will be 13DPO. I am not eating properly or taking breaks 😥 Maybe your body is still stressed from the HSG? And all these happenings at the minute won't help either.

@Annny27 sorry about BFN, we are wondering if we should take a break next cycle if I'm not pregnant, makes me sad to not try too.

@ToCaden just home from work so not moving off the sofa the rest of the weekend 😌 my sister works in financial services and her workplace, delivered her own desk, chair and PC that she uses at work to her house and to everyone's houses so they didn't have to buy laptops which I thought was a brilliant idea. So she has her work station all set up in her living room 😂
