Carley321 · 20/03/2020 13:32

Hi ladies I’ve missed a few pages. But hope you are all well?

Well I’ve just had my lap and dye. Endometriosis was found on the back of my womb and some either side. It’s moderate and he didn’t remove it, I don’t know why!
I’m heartbroken and so disheartened with shitty news after shitty news. I fee like we haven’t been given a break since we started having investigations. I’m so lost with it all and didn’t get to speak to anyone so completely oblivious as to why it wasn’t removed l, what it means, what I can do to help and a million other things. I’m guessing I won’t find out anytime soon either which just makes me feel like curling up under a rock and sleeping the world away.

Any positive information or stories would be so appreciated ❤️

whatsthecraic91 · 20/03/2020 20:30

Hey all! Been an absolutely hectic week! Finally ovulated so I'm 4DPO and in the TWW. I've a lot of distractions at the minute so it will fly in 🤞🏼

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!

Kiza · 20/03/2020 21:03

@Carley321 I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling this way, that sounds really frustrating and unfair that you were not able to talk to anyone properly about it afterwards. Are you able to call your consultant and ask for a telephone session to discuss the findings/ reasons why it wasn't removed and what the next steps are for you?

@Narwhal88 do you mind me asking what you do in the nhs? I work in CAMHS and we are switching 90% of our sessions to telephone except the high risk patients. We will possibly be redeployed to different parts of the service also.

I now have 3 days off before back in the thick of work next week. Our follow up consultant appointment on Monday has now been changed to telephone which we are very grateful for as I assumed it would be postponed so at least we still get to hear the results of all our tests and discuss next steps.

Hope everyone's doing ok and managing to keep anxieties at bay. Take care of yourselves and each other

Narwhal88 · 21/03/2020 00:13

@Carley321 I'm so sorry you are feeling so down. It really is heartbreaking. Especially at the moment as everything seems like it's on hold and investigations and treatment delayed :( I've read before that endometriosis is quite specialist and needs to be removed carefully and different techniques can be used. So maybe it wasn't removed as they need to look into the best way to do it first? Have a look on the endometriosis uk website as it has lots of advice. Please don't give up hope, your journey is long and heartbreaking but there is so much hope and positivity that you will get your baby one day.

@Kiza I am the medicines procurement lead for a big trust and registered Pharmacy technician. So behind the scenes with no patient contact but a critical support role. We are looking into working from home but we still need some people in the office.
My appointment for Tuesday is now a telephone consultation too, which I'm ok about as like you I was praying it wasn't cancelled. I'm on leave now until Wednesday. Pretty scared about how things are getting.

This does at least seem to be keeping me distracted at the moment but still worried about how much this will delay any treatment we need including ivf if we need it. Most people's ivf has been cancelled which is sure to cause a backlog :(
I hope everyone is ok ❤️

CoalCraft · 21/03/2020 09:12

@Gem8930 good luck for when you test!

@Carley321 so sorry you've been left feeling like that, they really shouldn't leave you feeling so uncertain. Hugs and I hope you get your answers soon.

@Kiza and @Narwhal88 good to hear your appointments are going ahead, albeit over the phone. Hoping for positive news and a sense of direction for you both.

Feeling a bit crap today - the bleeding's back. I've had light off-and-on spotting for years now. Two GP's and a nurse have all had a look and told me it's just the pill (even though I was on the pill for two years before it started) and not to worry, and I'd hoped that it would stop now I've come off the pill, but it's here again this morning. I don't mind the bleeding itself, I'm just worried it says something negative about my fertility Sad

I'm probably just being impatient. I only took my last pill around the 2nd and my body is probably just trying to sorry itself out, but after a couple weeks of no bleeding after the withdrawal bleed I was starting to think maybe it was just the pill all along.

Ah well. I'll give it some time, see if it does settle away by itself. Anyone have anything similar?

Narwhal88 · 21/03/2020 10:16

@CoalCraft I have spotting before AF but not other times. I have heard of other women getting it though. Remember the pill is still in your system and it can take months for your body to regulate. Try not to worry, doctors all say that spotting doesn't matter for fertility, though who knows. I would say if it hasn't stopped after 6 months TTC off the pill then go back to your GP but hopefully you won't need to Smile

Annny27 · 21/03/2020 10:27

Morning ladies! I havent posted in what feels like ages. I have been fairly caught up with all the virus stuff if I am honest and feeling pretty anxious about it all 😬😬

I am 7dpo today and no symptoms atall as to be expected so we will just wait the tww out!

@whatsthecraic91 tww buddies! Glad you finally ovulated :)

@lozzlepop I am working from home now and for the foreseeable future. Work have been pretty good with saying everything who can to wfh

@kiza oh that's good that they are doing a phone appointment:)

@timswifey how are you doing? 💗

Sorry I havent read all the messages yet but I will scroll back and get back to everyone:)

Gem8930 · 21/03/2020 10:45

Just an update. Been off work yest and today. Really bad cramps all day Thursday. Ended up. Vomiting alot on Thursday nite. Crampy yesterday. Today i have bad low back pain feel like ive been through a hard gym workout. Today i have alot of creamy white cm. Im currently 6dpo. Has anyone had similar symptoms. I know it's far too early to do a test x

Factualmistakes · 21/03/2020 11:22

Good morning everyone. I hope we are all keeping sane in this craziness!

So for me it looks like AF may have shown up this morning. A couple of days early and with none of my usual symptoms such as spotting beforehand. I will keep an eye on it as could be implantation bleeding but also could be down to being the first month without my coil (copper).

Not sure if we want to make as much as an effort for the next cycle as calculations suggest a due date of the new year. But if it happens it happens.

rathernotshare · 21/03/2020 13:55

Hi all! 👋

Not been keeping up with the chat as I've gone into meltdown mode! I have OCD which is obviously not ideal during this pandemic. Further to that, all my therapy has been cancelled until further notice and I'm now working from home 🙃 cue me losing my mind! Anyway, my husband had wanted to hold off having kids til my mental state was in check, and this blip is scaring me that he may change his mind about TTC for the time being. Which is not really an issue anyway as I still have no AF since stopping the pill in January!!! SIGH

Sorry for the rant!! How are you ladies doing?

CoalCraft · 21/03/2020 14:49

@Narwhal88 thanks, I know I'm just being impatient, think I'm just tired of the bleeding haha But definitely plan on letting things settle down for a few months before docs as I'm sure they'd just tell me to wait it out anyway.

@Gem8930 sorry you've been feeling poorly... Or maybe not if it's a symptom of something good! Crossing fingers for you

@rathernotshare Oh no, sorry your therapy has been cancelled and your finding the pandemic tough. Any chance at all of taking to your therapist over the phone. I'm sure it's not the same but might help a bit at least? Hope AF comes for you soon

Well, my nipples are sore today on top of the spotting. Don't think it means much though, I've had random sore nips plenty before. Just annoying!

Annny27 · 23/03/2020 08:22

Morning all :D hows everyone doing?

9dpo today and itching to test if I am honest haha! But gonna try hold out till 11dpo at the earliest!

My boobs are slightly bigger and a little bit tired but progesterone does that in my tww anyway usually!

@CoalCraft sore nipples sounds promissing

@rathernotshare I am more anxious with all the virus stuff so it's not surprising others are feeling the stress too :(

Factualmistakes · 23/03/2020 10:00

Morning all.

So after some spotting on Saturday there is now no sign of AF but I do have some light cramping so I feel like she is tricking me and will arrive at any moment. Dying to test but going to hold out a few days. I have never before been so aware of AF haha. If this is what the 2ww is like I hope I don't have to do it too many times!

XjustagirlX · 23/03/2020 13:19

AF was late for me by 3 days this month. My temperatures were high so I genuinely thought I was pregnant but I was just ill.

I spoke to my gp and we have been referred to the hospital for further tests. Appointment on 8th April. So not too far away. I was planning accupuncture this cycle but that won’t be happening now. So instead at least we are both stuck at home so hopefully we can definitely have lots of sex throughout the day.

Lozzlepop · 23/03/2020 14:45

Hey ladies,

How are we all? Sorry I have kind of dropped off the grid over the last couple of days, feeling a lot of anxiety over the current situation given our boss is still making us go to work- we are 2 days on 2 days off so I wont be back until Wednesday but its more the 1hr commute each way on public transport that is unsettling me. Did everyone have a nice weekend? Hope everyone is well and staying safe ❤️

Kiza · 23/03/2020 16:41

@Narwhal88 hope you've managed to have some relaxing time whilst off work and let us know how your telephone appointment goes tomorrow.

@CoalCraft on/off contraception use can really affect our cycles. It's still early for you so may take some time for your body to adjust getting all those chemicals out your system. Once things have settled down a bit you could look into seed cycling or progesterone supps for your follicular phase to help balance out potential high levels of progesterone.

@Gem8930 you sound quite poorly, how you doing now?

@rathernotshare has your therapist given you some phone lines and online resources during this time? We are still offering telephone therapy to our patients during this time.

We had our follow up consultation. DP SA is the same but she's not overly concerned as the dude produces 16times the average semen! So 1% morphology equates to 16%.
My FSH was at the high end @ 8.8 which she said for a 39yr old is normal as the average is 4-8, but she said it's no reason why we can't conceive.
She's putting me forward for AMH test and referring us for IVF however she was very honest and said all IVF has been put on hold. Usually it's an 8week turnaround To start treatment and I need to start mine before October (when I turn 40). But who knows at the moment.

All in all nothing seriously wrong with our results just some low level stuff, she said FSH can fluctuate and there's nothing I can do to improve it. I also have a small cyst in my womb and she wants to rescan in 3 months to see if it's gone if it's own accord.
She said keep on DTD and everything points to us still being able to conceive naturally despite it being 19 months already.

Kiza · 23/03/2020 17:32

Have any of you in England opted for private blood tests? I asked if I could have my FSH test again due to her saying it could fluctuate (as I felt disheartened that it was at the high end) but she said no and with it being a 3 month wait for the AMH test I thought of going privately.
I've seen some online tests but am wondering if anyone's done these and how they work?

Narwhal88 · 24/03/2020 11:47

@Kiza Good to hear you still have a strong chance of natural conception. Must be frustrating being 19 months but maybe it is just taking you a bit longer.
Had our appointment this morning. Apparently my gp only referred my DH and not me so technically I'm not her patient so I need to get him to refer me to her as well. She still went through the questions with me and once referred she said she will send me for more bloods as they never did day 1-4 bloods (my gp told me they weren't needed when I queried this), scans and dye test. She wants another SA for DH in May and if they haven't changed then she will refer straight to IVF. I asked about chances for natural conception and she said they were much reduced with DH results. She said there is no wait time for IVF however obviously we don't know when things will restart at the moment. She was quite positive and we came off the phone feeling like we have a plan now.

Narwhal88 · 24/03/2020 11:49

@Kiza Oh and I've not had tests online but I've looked into it and I think I would do the AMH if the NHS was a long wait too. Medichecks looked quite good when I looked into it. I think they send you a skin prick and you send it back in the post. Might want to check if they are still doing it at the moment though.

Lozzlepop · 24/03/2020 15:00

Hi ladies,

Happy Tuesday! I hope we are all staying safe out there! I am guessing we are all wfh now?

@rathernotshare we have a lot of therapists rent office space from us and I know that most are offering telephone/ skype/ zoom sessions so i would definitely enquire if this is something that can be offered at this time.

@Kiza its good to hear theres nothing physically wrong to stop you conceiving naturally but understand that it must be frustrating given the current situation if waiting times etc are pushed back. Do you just have to have started the treatment by then or actually have the embryo transferred? Whats the options for you past October?

Just got a call from the hospital, my HSG which was scheduled for next week has been cancelled, which is to be expected really, she said we may still be able to go ahead with the blood test though so fingers crossed!

CoalCraft · 24/03/2020 18:30

@Annny27 95% sure I haven't ovulated yet since coming off the pill so doubt sore boobs meant much; probably just my body reequilibrating, though that in itself is a good thing! Did you test after??

@Factualmistakes Did AF show up yet? Wishing you luck!

@XjustagirlX I'm a bit jealous; DH and I both still in work and will be tired from filling in for anyone else, so not much chance for DTD atm. Really hope your appointment goes well

@Lozzlepop Thank goodness you get to wfh now, I can totally understand being unsettled by the public transport.

@Kiza Thanks! I'm definitely gonna wait for things to settle down a bit before taking anything further. I suspect the sore boobs (which are no longer sore) was just part of that settling process. I hope it doesn't take too long, bit no point worrying about it at this early stage, I guess. Encouraging for you that you should be able to conceive naturally though I'm sure it's all still frustrating. Hope you're feeling okay about things.

@Narwhal88 Good that you feel you have a plan; things are always so much brighter when you can see a path forward. Hope it all goes well.

I am the luckiest person on the planet; moved home yesterday, everything being pretty smooth. Can't imagine it would have gone ahead if it had been planned for today. Such a relief! Unfortunately am still in work as part of s skeleton crew though.

No idea what my body's up to. It seems to have reverted to on-the-pill mode in terms of CM and how I generally feel. Whatever; I'm not feeling particularly anxious about TTC and it's fun in a way watching everything adjust to not having hormones regulated (sorry if that's weird 🙈 )

Factualmistakes · 24/03/2020 21:30

@CoalCraft no AF just yet. A bit of spotting today so i thought she had turned up but it hasn't developed so far. My cycles are usually 27 or 28 days and I'm now on 30 so who knows what is happening. I will test in a day or two if nothing happens. Don't want to be disappointed because it could be down to a number of reasons. I certainly feel periody too.
Our bodies are funny old things!

whatsthecraic91 · 24/03/2020 22:18

Hey ladies just popping on! Still working flat out it's so busy! Loads of new procedures in place due to coronavirus so everything is taking longer too 😅

8DPO and when I took my bra of tonight and showered I noticed my nipples are KILLING. So aware of them now. Don't know if it means anything. Slightly scared incase I am pregnant tbh with the whole coronavirus thing as I can't work from home. It will be bad timing but hey I've wanted it for so long so we will see next week. What will be will be!!

@Annny27 how you doing?

Will catch up again later in the week. Be safe everyone x
