Hi.
I am 24 and been trying to conceive since December 2019 which is when I came off the pill. My first regular back to normal cycle was feb 2020.
Before my period I got symptoms but got a BFN. I want it to happen so quickly so I have bought the pregnacare conceive plus vitamins to try boost it. I want it so badly and my partner does too.
Anyone got any recommendations as to what they done? I understand it can’t take a while. Just want an insight.

Exactly the same as me except my proper period was January. Also 24 and came off the pill in December. Bought all the vitamins and conceive plus stuff but need to start accepting that it takes time. I'm so impatient that I was almost offended that it didn't happen straight away 😂 cycle 2 and I'm already convinced that it's never gonna happen. I have so much sympathy for those that have been trying for months.

It might just be coincidence but I have found that since taking the Pregnacare vitamins my cycles have got a lot less predictable and longer. I've now started just taking folic acid to see if it was coincidence or not.

Hey, I'm also 24 & just to share my story if it helps any, I was off the pill for a year before we started TTC as it took a while for my cycles to come back, but like you both I was shocked when it didn't happen first 2 cycles & was convinced it would never happen, so I started using OPK's & found out I ovulated later in the month than the usual CD14, and once I started using them I conceived 3 months later, so 5 months in total. Used pre-pregnancy vitamins but gave me a 36 day cycle to stopped after 1 month and just stuck to folic acid & high dose vit C. Now TTC no2 and back on the same vitamins again. Wishing you all lots of luck!

@Empem1995 also started ttc recently. Stopped the pill in November and got pregnant after 12 days but i Had a MC at 7 weeks at xmas. Now cycle 2 post MC and still probably a BFN.

Like you i thought is it so hard but i think that is just how it is.
Nothing really helps vitamins wise. Just take folic acid and keep a healthy lifestyle with ni alcohol and reduced caffeine.

And yeah opks are good for timing but that doesn’t mean it will work!

Try to be patient OP :)
(I know it’s hard!!!!)

@Michette no but it's helpful to get an understanding of your cycle, not everyone ov's CD14 like most sites say

Pregnancy vitamins are a good idea for health, for you and baby, but they’re not likely to make it more likely you’ll conceive. The most important thing is to make sure you’re having sex at the most fertile time, and enough to give yourself a good chance of sperm being there when you ovulate as the sperm needs to be there waiting. Have a look at the Sperm Meets Egg Plan, and track your cycle with BBT taking and ovulation predictor tests (LH tests) A sperm friendly lubricant can also help.
