Aunty Flo after early miscarriage

Can’t find a relevant thread so posting one here to see if other women are in or have been in the same boat.

TTC and had an early miscarriage. AF came to visit with a vengeance 6wks later in January. I’m now at the stage where AF should’ve come yesterday for the first time after but still nothing. Have become slightly addicted to testing again.
My question is, is it very common for periods to be irregular for a while after? Should I save my pennies and wait for a better sign than a late AF?

@WantABunInTheOven sorry for your loss, I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks and my cycle has got longer. Used to be 24-28 day like clockwork and now they are 35 days. Wasted money on testing just for af to show up.
Hopefully 2020 will be our year for our 🌈

Aah. Thank you Lottieloux. Sorry about your loss too. AF (as unwelcome as she is) came today. That’s handy to know yours became longer. Will track mine now in the knowledge that my cycle may be longer now.

Had a surgical removal in Jan and waiting now. (Actually mc in Nov.)

June2007, hopefully as Lottieloux says it’ll be our year, this year. 😊

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks last week and the bleeding stopped 2 days ago and have had a negative test. Will my period start soon or was the miscarriage an actual period? Any advice appreciated

sarahc336 · 20/02/2020 12:15

It's quite common for your period to be later than expected after a Mc. My periods have also been heavier since but I hear some ladies say the opposite. Your first period after a loss can take a while to kick back in also Smile

sarahc336 · 20/02/2020 12:16

@Chwil20 and your body will treat the Mc as a period so your next cycle will start from now, so your next af will be due in your normal cycle length time Smile
