Help - when can we start TTC??

Hi,

I started my current job 16th October 2019. We would like to start trying as soon as I'm eligible for full maternity pay, so I'm looking for some clarity when that is. I don't feel comfortable talking to anyone at work about it, or anyone else for that matter as we are keeping our TTC journey private.

I'm pretty sure I have figured it out but I would just like the clarification by others out there that may understand how these things work better!

Okay so here it is..

'If they have at least one years continuous service at the 11th week before their expected week of Childbirth they will be entitled to:

9/10 of a weeks pay for the first six weeks plus 12 weeks had pay plus SMP followed by 21 weeks SMP'

So therefore I have interpreted that as, by the time I reach 1 years service on 16th October 2020 I need to be no more than 29 weeks pregnant. Meaning I can get pregnant from 27th March?

I am fully aware I may not get pregnant for a very long time after that. But there's always a chance it could catch first try so I am looking to not start trying until April, does that look correct to you?

Sorry for being so stupid, but my anxiety needs these things verified. I hope you understand! Blush

Thanks in advance x
