Implantation and testing question

I've had what I think might have been implantation spotting (either that or AF has arrived early and very light). How soon after spotting would you do a test? Would you wait until AF should have arrived or sooner?

Using a first response test if you are pregnant it should be a faint BFP within 24 hours or so

At least 2-3 days for any less sensitive tests
