Hello Peoples,

So I’ve been looking for a fert clinic to do IVF. I came across Fertility in Community who are based in Croydon but also have use of the a practice in Harley Street for egg collection and so on. However, I can’t find anything about them online reviews wise. They’re also not registered with the HFEA. I asked them doctor about this and he said it’s because they’re a sister company of Harley stress medical or something so fall under there.

Anywho, their IVF packages are £2500 inclusive of medication blah blah. 3 cycle package £6500 same things, includes medication.

The guy is willing to discuss medical history on WhatsApp (method he uses to call you) then email you a comprehensive treatment plan.

What do you guys think about this? It sounds too good to be true and I seeing as I’m so desperate to have a baby, I don’t want to fall vulnerable to shit like this.

All comments welcome x

I don't think I'd trust that, all registered fertility clinics are all the HFEA website. Never come across where they discuss your medical history over WhatsApp. X

@Lauraliverpool thanks for responding. There is literally NOTHING on them online. They have 5-6 different companies on companies house registered in their names. So different businesses not related to each other industry wise. No one has heard of them.

@PurpleRayne89 no worries. Sounds dodgy to me. I'm fairly new to reading up on IVF clinics as it's only recently we've decided to go ahead with IVF. We've gone through Access fertility where the treatment will be at the hewitt centre. Go on the HFEA website where you can search for clinics which are endorsed by them and regulated.

www.hfea.gov.uk/treatments/explore-all-treatments/in-vitro-fertilisation-ivf/
look them up on here this shows clinics results by age etc (ie better results statistically for younger woman age group or older women so you can refer the results like for like

I wouldn't trust any clinic using WhatsApp. I'm
In the states and all my medical providers (gp, ob, etc) use an app (the one same app) which is credited to them and which I can email them, make appointments, check my files etc. I would never use WhatsApp for anything professional or confidential. The cost seems pretty low but perhaps that's reflective of my experience of health care here.
