Just entering my fertile week & wondering if anyone else is & we can then wait out the dreaded TWW together?
AF due 1st March, most likely be testing from 10dpo ...no matter how hard I try & wait it never seems to work that way 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

@A08x if she is a no show probably Thursday? I don’t really wanna waste tests haha I’m being cheap this month 🤭 but I’ll for sure update!

paintfairy · 24/02/2020 21:25

@A08x Yep, pill or live with it. That was gynaecology! Clearly the pill isn't a bloody option. I'll go back once we've been trying 6 months. Not been that long yet. Which I know loads of people have waited longer- but when clearly there's a problem?
Apparently your cycle length is dictated by when you ovulate. LP should remain the same. So its actually the first part of your cycle that can fluctuate. But if you track ovulation you'll know when to expect AF.

firsttimetry · 25/02/2020 12:28

Hi!!
This is my first time TTC. I ovulate around the 9th feb.
I had some slight spotting for 2 days.. a brown colour on the 20/21st Feb.
My AF was due 2 days ago and still no signs of it.

I have had symptoms such as bloating, headache, cold like, heartburn and feeling exhausted!

I took a test this morning and it was negative. Could it still be too early or and I out this month do you think? Thanks!!!

A08x · 25/02/2020 14:34

@paintfairy yeah absolutely I agree definitely go back once 6 month mark. Ahh that makes sense. My LP is usually 11-12 days. I am on 12DPO today and no sign of AF but negative FRER this morning so definitely out this month.

I think if it doesn’t happen next month I’m gonna go to the gp to get the ball rolling with some tests. We got married last April, which is when I stopped taking my pill. We were having unprotected sex May, June, July however I didn’t class this as trying as I wasn’t tracking ovulation or anything. We then used contraception for the month of August as our honeymoon was in September & I didn’t want to be in limbo of “am I pregnant, am I not” whilst trying to relax and enjoy ourselves. Sept on honeymoon was unprotected sex then Oct onwards started trying to actually track etc.

Up until now I have been classing September as my “first month off the pill” as that’s when we started actively TTC and it could be that we weren’t having sex at all may-July around my fertile window, but now that we’re heading to “official” month 7 (but really 10 “actual” months) I am getting impatient and need to know if there’s an issue.

A08x · 25/02/2020 14:37

Sorry again for my ranting, DH and I had a really positive feeling about this month even before my TWW so it’s just hit me quite hard that it’s not happened again. So glad there is a community on here of ladies all feeling the same, as it can be really lonely. X

paintfairy · 25/02/2020 15:08

@A08X my LP is usually 15 days. So it kind of allows for a few days spotting that might not matter, but that's no good if my lining is never thick enough? I don't know. Age isn't on my side though.

And I'm the same. I have only tracked 3 months so only count that. But there's been 2 other months it technically could have happened. We got married last October.

I was prepared for it not happening, but we couldn't have done any more, so you do start to worry?

A08x · 25/02/2020 15:58

@firsttimetry hey!💗 I am in similar situation as you, AF is late but negative test today. Personally for me I am taking it that this isn’t my month and moving on. If no AF by Sunday I’ll test again, but I’m sure it’ll have arrived by then. Xx

@Paintfairy I know what you mean, it’s a conscious thought that even if the initial fertilisation is happening, the environment for implantation isn’t thick enough. I have thought this too with my 11/12 day LP. If age is a factor for you I definitely agree with you going to the Dr to discuss it! I know there’s only a certain % chance of it happening every month, but you do wonder why it happens so quickly for so many people and not for others 😞 x

paintfairy · 25/02/2020 16:41

@A08x yes its not knowing which stage is going wrong really. The dr was useless last time but they'll have to do something after so long. I don't really want it to start taking over my life though and me being obsessed with it.

A08x · 25/02/2020 17:15

@paintfairy I get you, hopefully they take it more seriously this time. At least offer to test to see if there is anything else, I’ve read it can be something as simple as low iron.

I think I’m at the sad obsessed stage which I hate and swore I would never do! I am a crazy person who likes to torture myself, I had a cheap test in the cupboard and stupidly used it with second urine of the day, (I have no idea why and am annoyed at myself now).
I think I expected it to reconfirm my negative however I’m sort of wondering if there’s a wee hint of something? I also don’t think I believe it as a FRER with FMU would definitely show before a cheap one. Why did I do that!! 🤦🏼‍♀️

bernardswatchplease · 25/02/2020 20:04

@A08x I can see something but I also would have thought a pink dye FRER more trustworthy

uisage · 25/02/2020 20:30

@paintfairy Definitely tell them that you've been trying since last April, from some friends that went through all the tests, I think they class 'trying' as 'coming off the pill'. You may need to have been trying for a year to access the tests, it's a bit of a lottery.

@A08x I think I can see something if I don't look directly at it!

paintfairy · 25/02/2020 20:35

@usiage I think it's 6 months given my age. But i came off the pill in June 2018 so they can't blame that. Lol.

uisage · 26/02/2020 14:32

@paintfairy Hopefully you get the tests you want then!

I cracked and did an early test at 9dpo this morning. Needless to say, it wasn't positive. But I had to decide what to do about this job today, and a BFP would have helped! I turned the job down, can't be bothered being pregnant with a stressful job.

gingerglitter4ever · 26/02/2020 21:01

Hey ladies! Update from me, AF still not around, major temp spike this morning, thinking of testing Friday 😊

gingerglitter4ever · 27/02/2020 12:40

AF came today... 😭😭😭 I really hoped this month was my month...

paintfairy · 27/02/2020 12:50

@gingerglitter4ever I'm sorry. Mine isn't here yet but it's due soon. I know I'm not pregnant though. Frustrating. Dunno how long you can be optimistic for.

firsttimetry · 27/02/2020 20:22

My AF has also arrived last light.
It is incredibly light. Much lighter than it usually is.

Hopefully next month is our month guys!!

A08x · 27/02/2020 21:07

@gingerglitter4ever @firsttimetry ugh I’m so sorry to hear, it’s the worst isn’t it :(

Mine arrived too. Started spotting yesterday & sobbed last night in bed knowing AF was coming, then sure as fate this morning there she was. Felt so angry and frustrated today!

@paintfairy still a chance til AF shows up x

paintfairy · 27/02/2020 21:22

@A08x Nah did a test to check. But my body is doing its usual thing anyway. More hope of walking on the moon I reckon? 😂

Hope you feel better tomorrow. It's hard not to be upset. I've spent all day researching how to improve things. Ordered loads of crap that won't work. 😂 But I feel determined to try to sort my body out.

uisage · 29/02/2020 13:14

@gingerglitter4ever @paintfairy @A08x sorry to hear about AF.

I'm due in 2 days. My cycles aren't regular, so could be anytime between now and 4 days time. I'm on tenterhooks.

gingerglitter4ever · 01/03/2020 19:59

Thanks ladies! Onward and upward I guess! AF just ended so things can only go up from here 😊 (oh wow no pun intended)

A08x · 01/03/2020 22:55

@paintfairy what have you ordered? I read that warm feet gives a good environment for implantation so this month I’m gonna wear fluffy socks 24/7 😂

@uisage thats so annoying, when you’re at that stage you just want it to arrive so you can start the next cycle.

@gingerglitter4ever that’s the spirit! My AF only lasted 2 days which was so odd but glad it’s over & out the way for this month to get cracking again lol! 😉

paintfairy · 02/03/2020 07:37

@A08x Vitex, Vit B, Rhodiola rosea and progesterone cream.

I already take shatavari and boots conception vits.

uisage · 02/03/2020 10:30

@gingerglitter4ever Should definitely be pun intended 😂🍆😂

@A08x I got a cramp yesterday afternoon, so thought AF was starting. Nothing, no blood when wiping. Got more cramps at 2am, got up and put a pad on - nothing still. Usually AF happens withing 12 hours of tbe first cramp. Cue frantic googling of 'implantation cramping'. Now it's a waiting game, although I might not be able to resist testing tomorrow morning if she's still not here.

uisage · 03/03/2020 09:23

I tested this morning, got my BFP.
