Just entering my fertile week & wondering if anyone else is & we can then wait out the dreaded TWW together?
AF due 1st March, most likely be testing from 10dpo ...no matter how hard I try & wait it never seems to work that way 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

@paintfairy It could be a sign! I was absolutely freezing for the first trimester with DS, I could never get warm.

@3isthemagic That sounds promising! Although I was there last month, convinced my boobs were enormous and then AF showed up anyway.

3isthemagic · 22/02/2020 19:44

@uisage @paintfairy after 3 years of TTC I'm trying not to outwardly get my hopes up symptom spotting

Deb86 · 22/02/2020 20:36

Oh, I want to join this too Smile used the cb advanced test this month and had flashing smiley Thurs the static yesterday. Did the deed Wednesday and yesterday so feel like I'm in with a good chance. Really trying not to go on about it too much to OH. He had stage fright Thurs evening and yesterday morning when we tried because I told him how important it was Confused think we only managed yesterday afternoon because I said don't worry if it doesn't happen!! So frustrating, if I had my way it would be 3 times a day at the moment!! Af due around the 8th so be nice to obsess with ye Grin

paintfairy · 22/02/2020 20:40

Ha ha. Agreed. Every month I've been sure. In fact- last month I was snuffly like getting a cold (didn't), terrible metalic taste, even started not wanting tea (love tea!) because it tasted vile. Was quite hot, massive boobs, cramping with bleeding which I've never ever had before, and felt off. Yet nope. I think our bodies trick us.

I've had stomach ache this evening. I think more bowel as opposed to period type but sometimes I get confused. Feel a bit queasy too. But I often get digestive upsets up and down with hormones. And I'm shattered from not sleeping. Likely when AF turns up I'll be like- another set of bizarre symptoms that amounted to nothing! 🙄

Deb86 · 22/02/2020 20:46

#paintfairy I know what you mean about symptoms. I had a few days of light spotting last month about 10 dpo. Was exactly what happened with my first baby, I was convinced and waited 5 days or so before testing then bfn!! Totally messes with your head...

peyton14 · 22/02/2020 20:50

Hi ladies can I join?
First cycle TTC without copper IUD. Also first time ever using opks.
Currently 3dpo.

uisage · 22/02/2020 21:04

@3isthemagic,I'm glad that you're still going after 3 years. I wish that we could just DTD and then forget about it, but the human mind doesn't work that way! Fingers crossed for you this month.

@Deb86 Men are fragile little creatures, but I'm sure you've learnt the lesson for this month. I only tell DH that it's an important day if he's being resistant to my advances (mostly it just takes getting naked).

@peyton14 Welcome and good luck!

3isthemagic · 22/02/2020 21:42

Thanks @uisage I'm currently online looking for a new family pet 😂 I figured if we can't give DS a baby brother or sister then we should get him a pet 🤦🏼‍♀️

uisage · 23/02/2020 06:33

@3isthemagic We have a cat. DS loves her so much (she doesn't love him) but she is a complete pain.

3isthemagic · 23/02/2020 07:50

@uisage we had a cat but she went off to the big cattery in the sky when DS was 2.5, he's 4 now & still talks about her as though she's alive

Deb86 · 23/02/2020 10:20

@uisage
@3isthemagic
Definatly would go for a cat rather then a dog but alway have a worry about new born in the house with a pet. Another thing to have to keep an eye on?? I know lots of people have pets with babies and nothing bad happens.
We had a cat for 5 years and she dissapeared the week we found out we were pregnant with 1st baby. Maybe she knew she wouldn't be the favourite for long.
I totally agree about men being delicate. May be it didn't help me waving the stick around saying we are having sex as much as we can don't care if you like it or not Grin at one point on Friday I was thinking if he can't manage go do it then we are finished! God it makes you crazy.

Is anyone testing ovulation or pregnancy at the moment?? I just have to wait now. Am normally pretty good at waiting till about cd30 but this group might make that worse Shock

3isthemagic · 23/02/2020 11:11

I think I'm out, AF due today & had a tiny speck of brown when I wiped this morning so reckon she'll be here today/tomorrow. In other news Natural Cycles has finally going my ovulation date 😂😂😂

paintfairy · 23/02/2020 11:14

@3isthemagic 🤣 how useful!
Sorry AF seems to be arriving though.

uisage · 23/02/2020 11:56

@3isthemagic I'm sorry about AF again. It's such a bummer. When mine shuffles off to the big cattery in the sky, she won't be replaced. She's only 6 though, it might be a while. You can have her if you want 😂. Just kidding, I don't hate anyone enough to give them my nutjob of a cat.

@Deb86 my cat has totally avoided me since I got pregnant! It's like she knew something bad was away to happen.

This thread seems to be ok for testing craziness. I never understood the repeated early testing. At best, you're literally peeing away your money. At worst, you're setting yourself up for dissapointment.

paintfairy · 23/02/2020 13:43

Brown spotting with CM for me. Taking that as bad. I was hoping I wouldn't spot because that would be unusual. Having said that, it's usually red. Whether it'll progress to that, time will tell.

3isthemagic · 23/02/2020 17:29

I've done my fair share of early testing over the years but as I usually get AF at 10DPO I've realised that it's a waste of time! (Doesn't stop me peeing on an IC from time to time 😂)

A08x · 24/02/2020 11:27

@3isthemagic sorry AF got you!

How is everyone else getting on? X

gingerglitter4ever · 24/02/2020 13:01

No AF yet, hopefully she stays away!🙅🏼‍♀️

paintfairy · 24/02/2020 13:22

Still brown spotting today. Trying to cling on to hope that its not just my usual spotting but I'm not that hopeful. I think this week is going to drag!

A08x · 24/02/2020 16:13

@gingerglitter4ever oh that’s looking good! When are you planning to test?

@paintfairy am I right in thinking your AF isn’t due until the weekend? Spotting this early on could be a positive sign as if it was AF related you would expect it nearer your due date?

I’m due on tomorrow, very minor sensations in my lower abdomen but not actually crampy as such - more discomfort than pain. Also been sick a further 3 times since Saturday (finding this very odd and not taking it as a sign of anything - morning sickness is usually about 6 weeks as per trusty google!) 😂. Last few months I have spotted 2-3 days before my AF due date but this month nothing so far so I’m holding out hope.

I am in a totally unreasonable, angry mood today about this TTC journey. It’s only coming on for my 7th month so I have no right to be mad. I hope no one is judging me for this, but it’s the people I see on my Facebook, instagram etc with their accidental baby’s! Or the jealousy for the ones who are giving birth within a year of marriage. I am a terrible person.. I am going to have pizza and chocolate cake for tea and hopefully tomorrow I will wake up a happy and kind person again 😂😂

Sorry for my rant. Had to let off some steam somewhere as my DH seems to think negative thoughts bring negative vibes to the body (he’s a very chilled out guy & trying to remain positive so I don’t want to bring down his spirits).

paintfairy · 24/02/2020 16:25

@A08x Sadly not. My LP has always been a mess. I tend to ovulate CD11-13. I spot then. Sometimes for a day or 2. Sometimes it just carries on! I'll get a break of a few days inbetween usually but it varies. This month I spotted CD15 which confused me. I either ovulated seriously late (surge was early morning CD11) or i dunno? But nothing until now when I've got brown spotting (often it's proper bleeding). So this is good for me. AF due fri or sun (or even Tues if it was cd15 I ovulated).
I've got a headache today.

I think you are justified in being frustrated. 7 months is ages. In real time. When like you say- other people manage it by accident! I guess some people must be extra fertile or something? I really don't know. I'm old, so I'm blaming it on that. And my screwed up cycle. Which the dr had no interest in btw. But there's nothing on a scan.

CocoW · 24/02/2020 19:09

I have had a headache on & off all day, my boobs are still really heavy & sore to touch(5th day now) & I have so much saliva compared to normal.
I do get sore boobs the day before AF but still 6 days to go.
Trying not to over think them all but its so hard when you so desperately want a sign 🤞🏼😫

Still holding out testing until Saturday though as I have been the worst early tester in the past. If I test early I always end up with the 'oh it may be too early/soon to tell' mentality & end up spending a fortune testing each day until AF🤦🏼‍♀️

paintfairy · 24/02/2020 19:17

I've had a banging headache too. My gut feeling now is that I'm out sadly. I think the spotting is increasing and turning red. Frustrating.

uisage · 24/02/2020 20:47

I'm sorry to hear that @paintfairy. Here's hoping that AF doesn't come tomorrow.

Stay strong, @CocoW! I have definitely been there with symptom spotting. I had a sore tummy yesterday and convinced myself that something was going on down there.

@A08x You need to vent somewhere. Yes, it's good to be positive, but sometimes you need to actually say the things you are thinking. That's what the internet is for if your DH doesn't want to oblige! 7 months is only a short time in TTC timelines, in RL it's ages! It's so frustrating that only a day or two a month count, the rest is all waiting.

I have a second interview tomorrow. I think it's a formality, and that I'll get the job. Don't know whether I should take it while TTC. For a start, if I do get pregnant, it would be easier to coast along in my current job. It also feels dishonest.

A08x · 24/02/2020 20:51

@paintfairy does your LP always last the same length of time, is that how you judge it? How long have you been TTC for? That’s so frustrating spotting / bleeding at various points in your cycle. I imagine GP advice to rectify is birth control? Seems to always be their answer to any period irregularities🙄.

@CocoW it’s so hard not to symptom spot. I had a cough the last week or so & I found myself googling to see if it was a symptom. When I told DH and heard myself saying it out loud I felt like a crazy person😂 well done on holding out to test, Saturday will be here before you know it!
