Coming off Nexplanon: When to test

Hi ladies,

I'm new here and this is my first post...

I had my Nexplanon removed on 28/01 and was wondering when to test for pregnancy. We have been DTD at least every other day and I have heard stories of people getting a BFP in the first month. I have two questions:

  1. What is your experience with coming off Nexplanon and the TTC journey?
  2. When would it be sensible to test?

TIA

Hi,
I had my implant out 30th sep 2019. Had a bleed for two days 4th October and found out 4th November we were pregnant! So literally took about 3 weeks to ovulate.

We DTD everyday pretty much so don't know when I actually ovulated but it can be pretty quick! On the other hand it may take a while for your body to get back on track after the hormones.

Good luck

I had the implant out at the beginning of October last year after having the implant for 11yrs ( still had regular periods as well). Ttc number 4 and now on the 5th cycle . Xx

Had my implant out beginning of April but waited until I had my first period for dating which happened 5 weeks later before TTC.

Ended up getting pregnant on the first cycle.

It really all depends as your body will decide to ovulate at a different time to anyone else. I had mine out on 16th January and using ovulation tests I know I ovulated around 8 days later then I got my period 13 days after that. But some people won't ovulate for weeks, or not until they've had a period. So if wait at least 4-5 weeks, but don't agonise if it's negative as you could still be waiting for your body to kick start once the hormones from the implant are gone.
