19dpo BFN, so confused

I am currently 5 days late for my period, I was so excited to test this morning but it’s negative, and it was a FRER. I don’t understand what’s going on. No sign of AF, I feel sick every day, my boobs are huge and sore, cervix is high and closed, some creamy CM when I check internally, and yesterday I had jelly-like CM when I wiped. I feel so disappointed and sad. There’s no reason why I should be so late :(
There’s a chance I ovulated later but only a few days!
Guess I’m just looking for any similar but positive stories to encourage me a bit?

I'm in exactly the same position as you! I'm 18dpo and got a stark negative on an FRER yesterday. No sign of AF and I'm fairly sure when I ovulated - if it was late, I don't think it could have been by more than a few days, so an FRER should still have shown something if I am pregnant.

I'm normally very regular, but I did have a MC at the start of January so I'm wondering if that's screwed up my cycle in some way.

I'm 4 days late too, I'm having cramping, but no period, will test Thursday when I'm a week late. I took 5 cheap boots strip tests last one on friday, a day after AF due, nothing on any of them. I started pregnacare vits gummies this month and have read vits can lengthen cycles so not hopeful at all I'm pregnant which is why I'm waiting Til I'm a week late to test again

@itssquidstella very sorry about your MC :( I had one in September, since then my cycles have been longer (shot up from 28 days to 37) but every cycle since has dropped by a day or two so I thought I was getting back to normal... but I’m on CD 37 again now! Really couldn’t believe the FRER was negative :(

@Ylladyoll I will be a week late on Tuesday but I’ll probably keep testing every morning til AF eventually turns up. I’ve been having really sharp cramps over the past week, not like AF style cramps at all. Plus I never get any pains before AF comes it’s only when I actually start bleeding.

I’ve just started getting the jelly-like discharge again but it’s more of a brown colour now. Most people would say it’s a sign of AF but I have never got this before in my life!

I usually get two days of brown spotting before my period, brown blood is old blood, some people have that as implantation bleed. If it stops that's probably what it is, if it gets redder heavier likely period. 🤞 its implantation xx

I would’ve thought implantation would be long over at 19dpo!

@Bettie2192 sorry to hear about your mc but interesting it lengthened your cycles - maybe that's what's happening to me. Were you ovulating later in your cycle, or did your luteal phase increase too?

I would have thought implantation would be done by 19dpo, and implanting late isn't usually a good sign anyway :/ fingers crossed you get some answers soon!

@itssquidstella my MC has really messed up my cycles so you might be having the same thing- it’s totally normal though don’t worry, some people just take longer to get back to normal. I ovulated on CD 17 based on EWCM and cramps (and a bit of ovulation bleeding) which is a few days later than when my cycles were 28 days. But the luteal phase has been a bit longer too, I’ve decided I’m gonna go to the doctors because I can’t take these irregular cycles anymore, I want to know whats going on.
If it had the consistency of blood I’d just think oh ok maybe AF is coming soon but it’s just gummy brown CM, no blood! And my cervix is soft and high and feels closed to me. So annoying!

That is weird; hopefully the doctor will be able to tell you what's going on. I think I'm going to wait for AF to arrive (it seems less and less likely that I'm pregnant this month) and then make an appointment myself.

@itssquidstella how long have you been trying? We are getting on for 9 months and I know you’re supposed to give it a year before seeing someone but if there’s a problem I’d rather know now, so I’m gonna do everything I can to get some tests or something, see what my hormones are doing, I won’t take no for an answer lol!
I was so convinced I was pregnant this month and I’m starting to feel really sad now as it gets less likely :(

@Bettie2192 we were really lucky (in a way) and I fell pregnant on our first try in December. However, I'm 34 so I don't feel like I've got a huge amount of time to waste if it does turn out there are issues - I'd like to get the ball rolling ASAP if I'm going to need any kind of intervention.

I'm sorry you're feeling sad; I am too. I'd rather have got my period when I thought it was due, so I could move on to next cycle, rather than being in this limbo of not knowing exactly what's happening!

@itssquidstella that’s such a shame but on the bright side that was very fast so I’d definitely take that as a positive, hopefully you won’t have too long to wait :) i was hoping that, even if I got AF this month, my cycle would continue to get shorter but it’s getting longer again :/ I feel soo sick today, I was just in the shower and I swear I nearly threw up :( all day yesterday and Friday too... why am I feeling like this if I’m not pregnant?!
Hope you get a BFP or AF soon and can move on, if you’re not pregnant then your body is probably just taking a little time to settle back into what’s ‘normal’ hence the slightly longer cycle. It’s all those crazy hormones!

It's confusing me and I have such bad mood swings possibly as a result of it 😭

@MrsTwentyEight are you having any pregnancy symptoms at all? When did you last test?
The brown CM has kinda gone now and my cervix is so high I can just about reach it with the tip of my finger. Got indigestion now as well. I’m just gonna keep testing every day with internet cheapies until i get a positive or AF arrives.

@bettie2192 tbh not really unless itchy boobs and vivid dreams count. I just want AF here so I can move on. My CB digital was static about 19 days ago ....unless I just didn’t ovulate despite LH surge ....been testing daily with ICs...yesterday with FRER ...no luck
I had a FRER have a second line the next day but it was just evap line I’m sure as it was out of time limit.

Yeah I had itchy boobs as well during TWW which I don’t normally get. I always get sore boobs leading up to AF but they feel a different kind of sore this time...
@I had some cramps and felt really wet so ran to the loo but no AF! Not even much CM now but I dont think that’s a great sign, if I was pregnant I shouldn’t be be drying up... but at least it wasn’t AF! Been feeling queasy again this evening.

AF arrived today, I’m so gutted :( I don’t understand why i was feeling so sick, it wasn’t all in my mind. I hate my body right now.

Took frer and it was a clear BFN so it can only be the vits that have messed the cycle up, so AF should be arriving in the next couple of days :/

I say AF has come but its a very light, dark red/brown flow which is not normal for me at all! Nothing coming out onto a pad, only a small amount when I wipe. Normally when AF starts it’s a regular fresh red flow straight away and my cramps start with the bleeding too, which they haven’t. So I’m still really confused :/ what is my body doing?!

Well hopefully my AF will come, I'm in limbo with no sign of it
