I'm pregnant

So bit of a long one here but I’m new so any help would be appreciated! I came off the pill November 15th after about 6 years. Ready to try for a baby. A few days later I had my withdrawal bleed and then my first actual period came on December 30th to January 2nd giving me my ovulation date of around the 16th of January according to the app I’m using to track it. I wasn’t expecting much to happen so quick thought it would take a while for my cycles to return. Me and my partner have been having regular sex 2-3 times a week. I then got what I thought was my next period on 31st of January, slightly earlier than my app said. However yesterday 7th of February I took 2 positive pregnancy tests, including a digital one saying I conceived 2-3 weeks ago which would be around the time of ovulation. I took another 2 today very clear positives saying the same thing again 2-3 weeks. This would be around the right time but why would I have had a period if I’m pregnant? I read up about implantation bleeding but didn’t know if that was light bleeding? As this just seemed like a normal period for me? Any help or advice would be great! Thankyou

There's no such thing as a false positive so you're pregnant! Congratulations!

The tiny bleed was probably implantation, yes. Mine was around my expected period date too.

Self refer to your doctor or midwife and look after yourself!

Congrats! That is pretty confusing though! How long was your period at the end of Jan and did you get period pain etc as usual also? Asking as I had a positive test on Wednesday (albeit a faint line) but now I’ve got AF with cramps like my normal period. Clinging on to any hope right now haha

Around 4 days like normal and yeah normal period cramping! Just didn’t know how to tell the difference between a period and implementation bleeding

That’s really confusing. I have read that the hcg levels can remain in your body for days/weeks after any miscarriage, but also some people have bled and continued to have a healthy pregnancy. I really have no idea. I’d try another test soon and see if anything changes. Fingers crossed all is well 🤞

That’s what IM hoping!! It was 4 very clear positives, did you bleed lightly or normal? When I’ve looked it up it says light bleeding but mine was just like a normal period maybe just abit lighter towards the end?

I think for me it’s a definite chemical as the cramps pain has been so bad and (sorry tmi) I’m getting tiny bits of clot/tissue rather than just liquid. Usually my period would start with just liquid blood. I’m crossing my fingers for you! 🤞 the fact you are still getting positive tests is good.
