False positive digital CB opk?

Hi everyone, I have very irregular cycles between 39 and 50 days. Today (CD 20) I had flashey smiley face and 2 days ago I had very watery CM that soaked my undies (sorry tmi). I am almost in disbelief that Im ovulating. Does anyone else get really watery dc when nearing ovulation? Pic of stick looks like faint line?

The sticks inside the digital OPKs aren't designed to be read like that

CM can vary a lot depending on your hormones so watery sounds fine

Flashing smiley face does not mean that you’re ovulating @Cath0000. You’re using the dual hormone tests so you get a flashing smiley as your estrogen levels start to rise ahead of your LH surge and then a static smiley when you get your LH surge. The instructions will tell you that you get 2 days of flashing before your static but in my experience it’s more like 3 or 4 (sometimes more). Once you get your flashing smiley you should start testing twice a day as if you only test once you may miss your surge.

As previous poster said these tests aren’t designed for you to read the stock however I do usually have 2 equally blue lines when I get my static and have used them along side the cheap dip tests and get my positive around the same time.

The idea of giving you the flashing smiley is to let you know that your LH surge is approaching and you should start trying.

I'd so a couple more hours it will probably be positive - download an app like Premom it lets you take a photo and it will tell you whether it's low high or peak and plot on a graph and lines all the tests up so you can see the progression
