BFN then BFP stories thread 2020

Hello ladies!

Just for some advice from those that have had a BFN at 14dpo or on the day period is due....but later on went to have a BFP? A few of us ladies on the February bus part 2 would be grateful for your insight!

@MrsTwentySeven AF is due today but I tested and had a BFN two days ago. I hope I'm not already out this month and I'd also like to hear from ladies that have had a BFP after AF was late. I'm not sure what to think honestly

I'm 1 day late for AF and no sign. Took 5 cheap boots test all neg last one took this am. I'm reluctant to pay for any more tests so will see if AF comes in the next week. I've had no symptoms except a bit of cramping not much. I usually get sore nips, cramping etc. I started pregnacare gummies this month so wonder if the vits have lengthened my cycle dunno so I'd be interested too :)

My cycles have been so bang on every month, havent been on any contraception apart from condoms for 10 years, stopped using them october

I’ve been so uncomfortable and sore past 2 days.. pains around sides, tummy and legs ... like sort of indigestion pains. Never suffer from indigestion lol and it’s not my norm period symptoms. AF due tomorrow. So it’s more than likely her :(

My experience doesn't quite tie up with your dates etc but thought I'd share anyway. I tested on Sunday (AF due following Tuesday) and got bfn. However, I tested yesterday and got a bfp so don't lose hope just yet. It will also depend on the sensitivity of the test you used. However, I'm very aware that even after a positive hpt it's still very early days so trying to contain my excitement a bit (easier said than done though!) Lots of luck to everyone!

I’m totally puzzled too
Normally my luteal phase is exactly 14 days
It just seems cruel that my body decides to somehow delay my periods on our first month of trying without an explanation 😭

@Candycoatedwaterdrops30 that's very refreshing to hear. Hopefully we're still not out. AF is due today and I'm cramping a bit but still hopeful. Who knows?! Could be implantation even though 13dpo sounds like late to me

Ok so my FRER I used yesterday has a second pink line...
Does it count ?? Or does it not count after time limit ?

To answer your questions:

Yes I tested 2 days after AF was due (due Tues, tested Thurs) and got bfp although I managed not to do any tests at all between Sun and Thurs so no idea if would have got a bfp then or not.

I wouldn't mind telling you except I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated as didn't track it other than by date (regular 28 day cycle) and looking for EWCM. Tbh my body seemed all over the place this month! I reckon I must've been 12 dpo approx when got my bfn so 16 for bfp. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

My attitude is you're not out until AF arrives. Every body's cycle is different so it's just too difficult to tell. 🤞

Pretty sure lines don't count after time limit unfortunately but I could be wrong.

I tested the day my AF was due at 9DPO and got a bfn. My periods were like clockwork and there was no sign. I then tested three days later as still no AF and got a bfp on a FRER. Did a further CB test about 3 days after my FRER and got another bfp.

May not be quite what you were looking for but I ovulated quite late last month, CD19 of a regular 27 day cycle.

The week before my period was due I felt different to how I've ever felt so I had my suspicions, now feeling very much pregnant with a bit of nausea kicking in!!

I tested yesterday afternoon with FRER and it was neg.
AF due tomorrow, if it doesn't make an appearance I'm thinking of testing again on Sunday.

My FRER at 15DPO FMU has been negative and AF is 2 days late. I am giving up hope and not testing for a week.

Af due today but no sign of her. Got a bfn yesterday

Same boat. AF was due Today, tested this morning and got a BFN.
I’ve had some mild cramps at the beginning of this week and brown spotting for the past 3 or 4 days although since yesterday it is only noticeable when I use the toilet, in a very small amount. I do normally have spotting before period but nothing longer than 2 days and it always ends up with AF coming along.. No other AF or pregnancy symptom. I don’t know if I should keep my hopes up or not ..

I am looking for advice so that I can get rid of the anxiety! This is the first month we are trying to conceive (and my first post here!) I am never late and this time I am already 8 days late. Early pregnancy tests were negative :( (2 days before expected date, 3 days after expected date) I have no other symptoms (nausea, sore breasts). Means I am def not pregnant, right? Also, can anyone get pregnant in their first month of trying? I am 32.
