Pregnancy tests

Hello guys! I wonder if anyone could give me advise or has gone through the same thing ...

Basically me and my partner decided it was time for me to come off the pill and see what happens...so I finished my last pack of contraception (microgynon 30) on 17th December 2019, had my withdrawal bleed 3 days latter that lasted 4 days which was always the case for the past few years ... ever since my period finished I’d been feeling weird which I assume is the coming off the pill experience, really bad bloating, acne (I feel and look like a teenager!), nausea, headaches... I took pregnancy tests and I mean a lot of them as I was confused what was going on but then stopped as they all were coming back negative and thought I’d give it a rest as it’s just my body trying to readjust...so I felt really sick and weird yesterday (7th Feb 2020) took pregnancy test around 6pm and it came back positive! Wasn’t very bright but it wasn’t very faint either?? So got quite excited, but thought I’d do another one the following morning as I read it is best to do it on the first wee...and this time it came back negative...I’m okay, just feel super confused and perhaps worried?? Has anyone been through anything like this, perhaps I should be worried?

Thank you
Greta :) xx

Hey there, I have to say since coming off my pill I've been feeling the same, awful awful spots around my chin which I cannot get rid of, feeling pretty down, light headedness etc etc so that side of things is definitely normal!

With regards to the pregnancy test I honestly don't have experience with what you're going through, do you know how many dpo you would be or when your next period is due? Keep testing maybe every few days? I would try not worry but I know that's easier said than done. Its so hard to know what is going on in our own bodies sometimes.

Your hcg levels are higher in the evening not the morning.

Test tonight around 6pm and don’t eat drink or wee from 2pm.

It’s so awful isn’t it! Really have not been feeling myself at all :( !!

I honestly don’t even have a clue as I have not had my natural period since coming off apart from withdrawal bleed, so find this all even more stressful although I am aware that it may take a few months for natural period to come back I just find it strange that I had a positive test...followed by negative the next morning... I’m not worrying too much I guess?? I’m just struggling to understand or like myself at the moment with all these emotions and everything going on lol. X

@Echobear did you find your hair has gone greasy also at all? Past couple of weeks my hair feels greasy the day after I washed it, never had this problem until now :( just looks and feels awful! wash my hair every other day and have done so for the past god knows how many years !

Hi Greta did you test again last night? How did that go?

Honestly I found coming off the pill extremely difficult so do push on through and know that it is your body adjusting back to normal again! Yeap my hair was greasier but thankfully it did settle, I came off the pill mid August last year, it took a few months for my mood and hair to settle down, but my acne still plagues me. Again I know it will settle in time just have to let my body do its thing.

@Echobear

Hey! I did and it came back negative ! :( I can see a little faint line, but assuming that is just evaporation line so I guess not pregnant at all. Never mind, it will happen when the time is right ☺️

Oh gosh, I’m just glad to hear there are girls out there going through the same, it’s crazy what our bodies can do to us ! 😯 did you get your period straight after as well? I literary have not had period since my withdrawal bleed which was end of December 2019, which annoys me as I don’t like not knowing what’s going on haha! I’m glad to hear yours settled down a little, fingers crossed it all settles completely soon for you. :) x

Aw lovely I hope your body gets back into routine soon! I came off it mid August had the withdrawal bleed not long after, had some random spotting end of September and then it was back into normal end of October. But it largely varies per person.
