Hello, I’m 28 I came off the pill After 9 years back in November apart from the brake through bleed my “period” started around 45d later, however it was very light and mainly dark brown with only 1 day if any real bleeding. My next period came 36days later but again is mainly brown (sorry tmi) and very light. My periods before were regular with at least 2/3days of proper red bleeding. Has anyone else experienced this?

I stopped taking the pill in Dec and had the usual withdrawal bleed. 27 days later I had another period that was a lot lighter than my withdrawal bleeds ever have been and then I had another period but after 23 days. It was also quite light. Before I went on the pill, 12 years ago, my periods were like clockwork but I can't remember how hesvy/light they were!!
I'm just thinking it might take a while for our bodies to readjust to life without the pill!! Me and my OH aren't trying for a baby yet. Just trying to get my body in a position that it will be ready when we do decide to start trying!!

I came off the pill in September after 9 years and my first few periods were fairly light and just brownish really. Only this month did I get what seemed like a “normal” red bleed. It can just take some people a little time for their body’s to readjust I think

@Buns05 I’m exactly the same, wanted to give my body some time to get back before trying and I’m glad I have! @Nat4392 thank you, that’s good to hear things went back to normal for you! I wish these things were more publicly documented!

@Sbar when do you think you will start TTC? We really wanted to start in a couple of months but think we'll have to delay! We now have 2 weddings to go to between now and Nov and I'm bridesmaid at both!!

@Buns05 haha I am exactly the same, so many wedding this year! Probably not until next year, hopefully that gives our bodys enough time to get back on track! :/

@Sbar yeah, hopefully we'll know our bodies a bit better by then!! Going to see how many days it decides it wants this cycle to be.. if it was going for 23 days again AF should be here today but so far no signs!
