Totally @Donnat89 sometimes I think you just know. Xx

LRHR · 27/02/2020 16:36

@Donnat89 my dates are the same as yours.
You're not out of the game yet @Bic501 xxx

Sammyclaire22 · 27/02/2020 17:17

@bic501 this was cycle 5 for number 2. Number 1 took 12 months though and then an ectopic (dd conceived the month after) so this time from the start I did bbt and opks and tracked symptoms to really know my cycle. Also took evening primrose up to ovulation and most days took vit b complex and coenzyme 10 this cycle after advice from another mnetter. Not cheap but if if did the trick i don't care!
I think I've just been lucky tbh- with one tube and a hubby with a varocele it might not have ever happened. Plus he works shifts so had to really put the effort in to dtd at the right time! Made sure we dtd at least 3 times right by ovulation each month. Fc my little bean is in the right place and sticks! Good luck and keep positive x

Bic501 · 27/02/2020 18:18

@Sammyclaire22 aw I hope so to for u!! Keep positive xx

@LRHR well I suppose you never know but just have that feeling, I think I ovulated later than I thought and DH was away for 4 days with work so have prob missed the boat then.

Xx

How are we all doing?
I really was too sad after my last AF... Now awaiting my next fertile window 😛.. I wonder if it is possible that we had just too much sex? Last 3 months we BD every night of almost every night. Perhaps that's too much? This month I am trying to limit it a little... Perhaps every other day really is better (although from my research is seems best every night)? What do you all think?
I should be ovulating around 5th... How about you, girls? ❤️

Donnat89 · 28/02/2020 14:58

Guidance from the NHS suggest every 2-3 days around your fertile window as sperm can live for up to 5 days in the female body . I suppose it depends on hubby's sperm count etc . I think this guidance is because it gives the sperm more time to regenerate and mature ? When I asked at doctors this is what they told us as well . Xxx

@Adrianoska you are a few days ahead of me I ovulate on the 8th . So BD will start this weekend 🤣 xxx

LRHR · 28/02/2020 16:48

@Donnat89 @Adrianoska
Mine is the 8th too so from the 4th it will be every day if I have my way 😂 realistically though probably every other day during fertile window, day of Ov and the day after.
I'm trying my hardest this time to not be so religious tracking everything and checking the app every 2mins.
Is it just me but all I'm think when DTD is "hope this ones a baby, hope this ones a baby"
Don't get me wrong I love my husband to bits 😂 xxx

Donnat89 · 28/02/2020 17:58

@LRHR I always thought it was wise to do it the day before ovulation so sperm is already in your tube waiting for the egg to be realised ? Zzz

Juno231 · 28/02/2020 18:11

@Donnat89 I'm ovulating on the 7th so will be starting on the 3rd if I have my way. The DTD diary is giving OH a break on the 4th and at it again on 5/6/7 if possible. I suspect he won't be up for it again on the 7th though!

LRHR · 29/02/2020 06:05

@Donnat89 yeah I try the day before Ovulation and the day of xxx

60sPony · 29/02/2020 07:14

I still haven’t had my period - it should have started 3 days ago but I’m too scared to test 😬

LRHR · 29/02/2020 07:18

@60sPony oh wow 🤩 fingers crossed for you lovely lady.
Xxx

Donnat89 · 29/02/2020 08:40

@60sPony pleaseeee test !

@LRHR yea I see what you mean I may try this too 🤣🤣🤣

@Juno231 haha I may try this with OH too I wonder if he would be able to keep up ! Xxx

@Donnat89 lol don't call me crazy but note that I want to start on the 3rd to give girl sperm a chance to get there too! Otherwise I'm so focused on the two days before ovulation that it's bound to be a boy per the shettles method!

LRHR · 29/02/2020 10:09

@Juno231 I've heard that method too.
I'm very lucky that I already have a boy and a girl so I don't mind the gender, everyone has their preference and I don't think that's crazy give the girly sperm a fighting chance xxx

LRHR · 29/02/2020 10:11

@60sPony we're anxiously waiting ❤️

Donnat89 · 29/02/2020 15:37

@Juno231 I have never heard of this before but like @LRHR I already have one of each so either one I would be happy with as long as it's healthy ! X

OP posts:
Adrianoska · 29/02/2020 15:49

@all of you, I swear I would be happy with either girl or boy, as long as I get something! 😂
I never knew you could manoeuvre this is any way 🤔
Ohhh I am awaiting my fertile window (should start tomorrow) but my ovulation tests are 100% negative still. And instead of saving his powers for next week my husband went sex crazy already. I don't really want to put him off and tell him that this is not the time yet, but I worry he will be knackered by the time I am ovulating, poor fella... Hmmm. He really wants a baby as much as I do. And he basically refuses to possess any knowledge about fertility or ovulation etc. He thinks it will happen whenever. Hahaha.
He thinks I am ridiculous with my wee sticks, apps and supplements.
Are we really this crazy?

Bic501 · 29/02/2020 16:33

Aw u didn't know that, so if you DTD a couple of days before ov your more likely to have a girl and if closer to ov it's more likely to be a boy?
I have 2 boys and one girl so doesn't really matter although my DD would just LOVE a sister. Might have to try this out lol

@Adrianoska I don't think we are crazy, I like to think of us as proactive lol

Juno231 · 29/02/2020 17:49

@Bic501 yeah the theory is that boy sperm weigh less as the Y chromosome is lighter so they're faster and therefore get to the egg first. Girl sperm live longer though so if you have sex earlier they have time to get to the egg and will still be around when the egg is released. I know a few people who have used the method to get the boy/girl combos they wanted but God knows how well it actually works.

I don't mind either way for the first one but would love to have one of each if possible.

Bic501 · 29/02/2020 21:51

Well thanks ladies and @Juno231 I have learnt something today lol

60sPony · 01/03/2020 07:40

Did a test this morning and it’s positive, I really had a feeling I was pregnant. Very exciting but also a bit of a mix of emotions - so life changing and can’t imagine loving another child like I love our son, though I know I will.
We vaguely used shettles to try for a girl this time and had sex about a week before ovulation but I actually think I ovulated earlier so who knows... guess will find out in November all being well 🤞🤞🤞

Hope all you other ladies are doing well!

LRHR · 01/03/2020 08:27

@60sPony YEY!!!!
Awww I'm so so happy for you, congratulations ❤️❤️❤️

Bic501 · 01/03/2020 08:31

@60sPony that's amazing news! You will have plenty of love to go around! Biggest congrats xx
