Negative test, symptoms but folate deficiency...

Hello all...

SO, me and my fiance are trying for a baby but we're relaxed about it all but the last 2 month I've been having some symptoms and light periods (the last one lasted 5 days and was very pointless and light). However I didn't have any periods with my little boy, was late and test showed straight away!

So both months i did tests but nothing! So went to doctors and even she thought I would be pregnant but nope, she ordered blood test and turns out I have folate deficiency anaemia, my level is 1.9 And should be 3. But I'm pretty sure she didn't test my hcg levels!

Now my symptoms are; bloating (I look 5 months pregnant!), sickness (I do have a very sensitive stomach at times) nausea, and fatigue being knackered, tender breast and because I'm bloated they do look bigger and a very sensitive cervix 😏 and lastly...i swear it feels like belly flutters! And no I'm not gassy when it happens...

Anyone else had anything similar? Am I just overly thinking everything?

@Mummybear1112
I'm not sure it had anything to do with my Folate deficiency, but I had that too and these symptoms you're describing are the same ones that I always had in the second half of my cycle along with lighter periods.
(Someone also mentioned it could be due to low progesterone)

If the pregnancy tests are all coming up negative, I think it's unlikely you're pregnant. But it's probably best to get that confirmed by blood at the doctor's.

I have personally had so many cycles with symptoms like that and no pregnancy, that I can't symptom spot anymore and just need to wait for my period to confirm there's no pregnancy (or do a test)
