HCG and LH Surge?

Hi,
I miscarried on Thursday 30th (it actually started on the 22nd jan.
I watched a YouTube video of a woman who ovulated and conceived within 2 weeks of her miscarriage.
Just out of curiosity I took an ovulation test I got a surge, I also took a pregnancy test as I know the hormone stays around for a few weeks.
The pregnancy test is still showing positive.
Is it possible to get residue hcg but also ovulate?
I’m not planning to get pregnant again until after I’ve had a cycle but I just don’t know whether to note it on my Ovia app as an ovulation day

I'm pretty sure You can't ovulate until your hcg levels is less than 5

If you are still getting a positive pregnancy test then this is why you are also getting a positive ovulation test - on a molecular level LH and hcg are almost the same and an ovulation test often can't distinguish between the two which is why you can have a positive ovulation test when you have pregnancy hormone in your system

LH and HCG actually have very similar properties and therefore the ovulation test is probably picking up the HCG in your system. Some women use OPK’s as HPT’s because they’re cheaper!

I’m very sorry to hear about your miscarriage @Kona84 good luck on your journey TTC again x

Okay, so I’d be best waiting until I have the negative pregnancy test before trying to track ovulation.
Thanks for the responses
