Can I trust CB?

Morning ladies - I'm in a mild panic here.

I'm about 9DPO first cycle I've had my period back since DD1 who is just over 1. I've taken 3 different kinds of CB this morning and all have come back really strongly positive. Digital says 3+ weeks which I don't even know how that's possible as my period started 14th Jan.

I see some talk on here that CB are notorious for false positives. Can I trust them as all three agree? Or do I need to check with FRER or other?

It's very very soon after DD1 so a bit of a shock but also a welcome one as we were trying

Can I trust CB?

Hi @LeeCee i think it looks like you are pregnant but given your dates I wouldn't trust the digital saying 3+? I've heard they are notorious for being wrong. In saying that I've also read that twins cause super strong positives early.........

Good luck!! And congratulations!

Let us know!

polkadotpixie · 01/02/2020 07:28

Was your 14th Jan period normal? I'd be guessing it was implantation bleeding rather than a true period and you got pregnant before that

LeeCee · 01/02/2020 07:33

Thanks @newmum2020 😱

@polkadotpixie it was my first period since my daughter was born so was hard to judge a "normal". It was longer than usual (approx 7 days) but not heavy. I figured it was too long to be implantation bleed

I think your "period" must have been just a bleed, you absolutely wouldn't get a positive on a digital like that if you weren't pregnant. Get yourself booked in with the midwife, you must be at least 5-6 weeks, congratulations!

maryberryslayers · 01/02/2020 08:02

It's near impossible 3 separate tests could all be wrong, you're definitely pregnant. Congratulations!

The dating one just measures hcg so you most likely you had a long luteal phase given your cycle is probably irregular (or maybe twins!)

MsChatterbox · 01/02/2020 08:48

I agree with pp you are further along! I would even be booking an early scan in so you can be sure and know when you will need your dating scan by!

Hiya, I have my fingers crossed for you but be wary. On Tuesday I took 2 CB digis both said pregnant. Have since done 3 different ones and all BFN then this morning AF arrived in a vengeance- so sad for me. X

itwasalovelydreamwhileitlasted · 01/02/2020 09:18

All your tests are VERY positive for 9DPO - normally implantation is just happening on this day and it's pretty impossible to get such strong positives/high hcg leveks

I think you're out on your dates or it could be triplets

LeeCee · 01/02/2020 09:35

@Foreverblowingbubbles18 so sorry to hear that. It must have been so disappointing after the false positives

Thanks for all the replies so It may be I'm further along, it's twins or it's a mistaken test 🙈😱

Going to try another brand just in case the last is true.

Otherwise I guess wait and see 🤷‍♀️

I really doubt another brand will be negative. Your tests are so strongly positive. Mine were like that when I was almost 7 weeks.

As pp said you're probably further along than you think or you are expecting multiples.

I would definitely book myself for a private scan just to have a bit of an idea.

LeeCee · 02/02/2020 10:04

Another 3 week + this morning on CB digital.
I guess I must have missed an ovulation cycle and that bleed was implantation OR it's twins 🙈😱 really hoping it's the first. Not sure how I'd cope with twins.
