OPK not quite positive?

First time I’ve had any reading on an OPK at all, and it’s not darker than the test line but maybe getting there? Should I test again later? BBT has shot up today as well so all signs are pointing to ovulation.

I can’t quite figure out even when reading the OPK leaflet - does the surge mean ovulation in the next couple of days, or that day? I’ve got this far and realised I’m not completely sure what the test tells me!

Thanks!

When you get a dark positive line, your likely to ovulate in the next 24-48 hours I believe. Once I got a dark positive we would DTD on that day and the day after and that seemed to work, well it did work lol! Good luck

Thanks! We DTD yesterday, and planning today and tomorrow. Poor DH is the one struggling! Fingers crossed

@BuffaloCauliflower yeah it's not easy - its so much better after baby because there's no pressure or schedules, well for us anyways. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! How long have you been trying?

Got pregnant first cycle trying in October but lost it at 5 and a half weeks. Tried again last cycle but weren’t able to really go for it, so this is first month of re-trying with a proper plan

Yes I would test again later. I would test at 1pm and 6pm. I would also dtd as many days as possible until it fades. Good luck!

Thanks! I wee so much I worry it won’t be able to build up enough hormone to show, this was second morning wee though so only a couple of hours hold. We’re going for today and tomorrow either way. It’s like planning a flipping military operation, amazing anyone gets pregnant accidentally 😂

@BuffaloCauliflower Sorry to hear that! I hope you have some success soon.

I used to wonder how anyone could get pregnant from a one night stand! it must be a flipping miracle!

I was told to test OPK's in the afternoon and Pregnancy tests in the morning - although that might be total nonsense!

I know it’s nuts! I was googling last night ‘how do the sperm even know where they’re going’? So silly.

When I got my previous positive it was evening and immediate BFP. I had some very light lines on OPK yesterday evening but this is much more substantial, although not quite positive. DTD Sunday but skipped Monday... then I worry that the sperm will be too immature if DTD the every day, but SMEP says to go for it.

Yes you only need to worry about leaving a day if there is issues with sperm mobility etc. In a healthy male once a day will create good sperm. And pp is right don't use fmu for opks!

Oh I’m so glad you’ve said that! I’ve been worried that the only time we can fit in today it will be less than 24 hours since last time. No reason to think we have to worry about DH sperm at the moment.
